Week 17: Sunday, Dec. 31, at Miami, 1 p.m.
New Year's Eve on South Beach? That doesn't sound too bad. Based on the projected record to this point, the Bills won't have anything to play for here. The three-game losing streak to the Chargers, Chiefs and Patriots sunk things. Now, who's ready for another offseason of "should we bring Tyrod Taylor back?" Hooray!
Final record: 7-9.
I think most NFL coaches are that way. You rarely hear of a 3-4 guy switching to a 4-3, or vice-versa.
I don't think it matters all that much because our D-Line is better for a 4-3. We had little depth in the secondary so that didn't matter. Probably hurts most with linebackers. Ragland and P Brown look a bit out of place.
Be careful. People will challenge you and demand proof. Or LINKS!
Yes, the outside reporting seems to all indicate that Whaley is losing political favor and McDermott holds sway.
Wow, angry and defensive. That really says more about you than me. Maybe I am stuck being a Buffalo fan whether I want to be or not?
And to be clear, I am not even doom and gloom. If this team had two great drafts we could be competitive again. I will hold out minor hope that the Pegulas will finally wake up and start running this team like other winning organizations. The draft is my favorite time of year and I will be around to see if we can pull a good one off.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is not a playoff team. I await the Vegas over and under numbers. Thinking the line will be between 6 and 7 wins.
To be clear, yes I would feel better if my team's management had basic roster evaluation abilities with regard to how it stacked up to the rest of the NFL.
Oh, I agree with you. My point is they currently play a boring, stale hockey and should hire a young coach that wants to put on a show and make people get up in their seats.
No problem. Sabres are much closer than people realize. If they hire the right coach and trade for a defenseman or 2 they can be a playoff team next year.
The Sabres have one of the top young talents in the game in Jack Eichel. They have a young star defenseman in Rasmus Ristolainen. They have a great 2 way center (kind of like the old Drury) in O'Reilly. Another 21 year old 2-way center in Reinhart(who was played out of position). They have a ton of young, fast players that are in Rochester and can contribute next year in Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching, Carrier, and Erod.
They lack defensive help and need at least 2-3 more good players. They will get one in Murray 2nd round pick Guhle who looks like a great young player.
Sabres have not only been bad but boring. I think we have the pieces to dominate people with speed and skill.
Eichel, O'Reilly, Carrier, Baptiste, Nylander, Reinhart, Kane, Okposo, Bailey, etc
No, but it should be a major consideration. Remember that Edmonton fired people, changed org structure, and finally got going once they won McDavid. You get a top 3-4 player in the NHL and they get special treatment and consideration.
I want a young coach who will run and gun. So far one name that I like for that is Sheldon Keefe.
