  1. “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
  2. John Murphy, is that you?
  3. And if you miss on QB this year, it means it's likely you don't have a starting WR, CB, LB on the team. I see that as a benefit. That means you have a better chance at a top 5 pick for another QB next year! Let's do this, get our QB and stop being a punching bag.
  4. It's not a draft party if you're not smoking through a gas mask.
  5. Don't forget these two words on your Sean Bingo Board, "Process" and "Culture".
  6. Bills are masters at avoiding QB. 20 years and only TWO picks spent on the position in the first 2 rounds.
  7. Bills strategy to avoid talking about the draft. Have Sean The Wrestler put people to sleep.
  8. Wow, we already have a QB better than Trubisky or Mahomes? Maybe we should see what teams will trade for our stud QB prospect!
  9. That would be Trubisky. Marrone and Coughlin too conservative to go Mahomes. Marrone is Coughlin's puppet.
  10. And Bills were middle of the road in yards per game. Scoring has more to do with red zone efficiency and getting nice field position setup by defense. That's why those who expect POINTS because of Tyrod could be in for a rude awakening if red zone efficiency drops slightly. That makes sense. This team is hard to watch as a fan. I wouldn't make anyone else watch them.
  11. I think the defense would have remained strong for an extra year or two. But keep in mind Marrone had no idea what to do on offense. Anthony Lynn, a running backs coach guy who had never called NFL plays, was 20 times better than Nate Can't Hackett. Probably would have made playoffs in one year with Orton and great defense. Roster would still eventually fall off as Mario broke down and our poor drafting caught up to us.
  12. Mahomes seems like an easy going guy off the field. But when you put a football in his hands he has no fear. Sign me up. Mahomes throws 62 MPH on NFL Network.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbXhUHIFRkg
  13. If Sean McDermott wants to be the next Dick Jauron I think Peppers as his first pick would be a fantastic start. Here's what Kiper Jr. had to say about these three picks: "Don't be shocked if Peppers goes this high. He's a tremendous athlete (4.46 40, 351/2-inch vertical) and the best punt returner in this draft. Even after signing Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, the Bills are far from settled at safety. And they don't have anyone on the roster like Peppers. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/04/2017_nfl_draft_mel_kiper_jr_makes_his_3_ideal_picks_for_buffalo_bills.html
  14. Well, maybe you are seeing things that the NFL teams and scouts are missing.
  15. If Mixon keeps his nose clean and goes to a team like Green Bay....grab him for your fantasy team.
  16. The draft is filled with mysterious but intriguing prospects. Atop that list, or close: Texas Tech quarterback Pat Mahomes. While in Lubbock, Mahomes put up some silly stats in a pass-first, spread offense, but also got sloppy with his mechanics, at times improvised too much, made some decisions that left coaches shaking their heads, and showed a cannon for an arm. Ring a historical bell? With some coaches it has. And how coincidental it is that, on the same campus, working at the Texas Tech Double T Varsity Club (the organization for Texas Tech alumni athletes), is Rodney Allison, the man who was the quarterback coach for a similar college player 27 years ago: Brett Favre. “I think quarterbacks need to sit for a while,” Allison said. “And Pat, he’s just raw. He’s been a baseball player. He had that arm slot. He’s got a great arm. Mechanically, I think he struggles with a few things. But it’s fixable, for sure. Coach Payton told me he thought there were things that would be pretty simple to fix in a fairly short period of time. Like, when he goes left on a bootleg, getting his feet under him so he’s more balanced when he throws. That’s just practice. But like Brett, Pat just loves playing. You can see the fun they have. With both guys, it was contagious with their teammates. Arm-strength, Patrick might be better. They’re at least the same.” https://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/04/19/pat-mahomes-nfl-draft-brett-favre-comparison-peter-king
  17. I seriously doubt he doesn't go in the 2nd. Too talented.
  18. Well now the Bills seem to know how to scout QB's. Question remains if they value the position properly and realize other teams want these players too.
  19. The guys that made the bad draft picks were fired. The new guys have had one draft and it wasn't that bad. Ogbah looked as good as Shaq and they got him in the 2nd, Coleman looked decent, etc. I don't keep track of every Browns pick but they got as many guys as we did.
  20. I think if Cleveland wants Trubisky we can land Mahomes. Time for us to figure out what is happening and not be left standing when the music stops.
  21. If the Bills see a franchise QB they need to not get outgunned by Cleveland. Time to call and ask the price.
  22. A Football General Manager should have a strong vision of how to build and create a football team than can compete and win a championship. His job is to assemble an elite scouting staff as well as find the right coach to get the most out of the players. On draft day, he makes the call. Not the owner, not the coach. He of course knows the schemes the team is running but drafts based on not just short term but long term organizational goals.
