Olson would be perfect compliment to Frazier. Both with multiple near worst or worst in the NFL finishes before getting fired. Rex Ryan finished top ten 9 out of his first 10 years as DC or Head Coach. Worst finishes were 19th overall in his last 2 years with Buffalo. And we are riding him out of town as a clown while bringing in Frazier and Olson. Sick.

It depends where the QB they are targeting is on the board. Most of the QB's are not rated as top ten picks. I would rather take an elite safety at 10 then reach for a second round QB. Ideally I would figure out how to get both a QB prospect I like and an elite player at 10. No one wants a safety just to fill a need. People are talking about Adams and Hooker because they look like elite players at the NFL level. I don't get how you have created this false choice scenario unless you believe there is a QB prospect worth a top ten pick. If Mahomes will go off board in late 1st and he's the guy I would be open to trading down from 10 or moving up with our second.

We've already gone over this. Yes, it seems like they have a quick trigger from an outside perspective. But the take I agree with is they wanted Rex to be here long term but they realized they made a mistake and decided to correct it. That is a different reason than they wanted the playoffs or else which is what the national take is. I think Rex would still be here even at 8-8 if he did better with the defense and seemed like the long term answer.

It feels like we are Cleveland without the zillion draft picks. I am not blaming McDermott. But if we can't do better than Greg Olson we will need to have a top QB prospect to get a good OC next year.

Just saying that NFL teams know what they are doing goes against all evidence of being a Bills fan. When we hired Marv Levy as a GM that was a pretty obvious mistake for anyone to understand. We have already discussed Olson on here at length. Instead of blindly trusting in him why don't you show us the silver lining some of are not seeing. I defended McCoy and Childress as being good hires. Please do that with Olson.

The only positive for Olson is that teams get better when he leaves so he doesn't ruin young QBs. I expect he would be here one year and take the fall when we win less than 6 games.

I usually don't read long emotional rants from men who call other people snowflakes but thought what the heck. Sorry, I don't see McDermott handing over his MOST IMPORTANT HIRE to a small time college coach. The NFL and college games are very different. The success rate of recent college coaches that stormed the NFL has been poor. Chip Kelly was the next Belichick and going to revolutionize the sport and he had a few nice years where his offenses did ok but nothing revolutionary. Soon after the bottom fell out and the fact is the NFL will figure out trick stuff pretty quickly. I would be for nurturing top college talent and bringing them under NFL minds but what you are proposing is way too risky. The only college coaches that have done well in the NFL also have NFL backgrounds.

I would draft Chad Kelly if the plan is to tank. When you don't win many games you need to entertain the fans and Chad Kelly would be built in drama.
