No you don’t really see anything as chaos ensued after the gun shots. -

Yep -Elon created distance from Trump, which could be beneficial for the long run of Elon’s work in the private sector. Now if Tesla starts booming, the Left cannot claim that Trump is helping his billionaire buddy. This also might help with the Libs keying and firebombing Teslas. -The narratives that Elon controls Trump, and vice versa, have been dispelled. -The Left now have a heightened interest in the Epstein Files, something they used to claim was a conspiracy theory. They are now emotionally invested. -Trump came off as looking stable, mature, goal-oriented, etc., and disproved a lot of anti-Trump talking points with how he handled this little spat. After analyzing the current outcome of the feud, I can see the potential advantages of Trump and Elon having distance between each other, now that Elon’s time as a special government employee is over….

And there it is…. He also cast doubt on the notion that Musk’s opposition to the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” is jeopardizing the bill’s chances of success, saying he’s “very confident” that the bill will pass the Senate before July 4. “The Republican Party has never been united like this before. It’s never been. It’s actually more so than it was three days ago,” Trump said. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-elon-musk-consequences-funds-democratic-candidates-rcna211605 Musk gets the distance he needs from Trump and DC - at minimum Tesla dealerships will stop burning. Trump gets the bill. GOP takes away the ridiculous Dem talking point about President Musk and fighting the oligarchy nonsense. My opinion - Trump was comfortable with this after the Wisconsin SC election a few months back that Elon put 20 plus million of his own money into and lost. Elon himself is not going to be a king maker going forward in politics. His Trump endorsement was unique and awesome. But not THE reason Trump won. Which was a confluence of several factors. Elon’s most important contribution for Rs going forward is X. So long as it exists the Dems no longer control the narrative. And that’s what is vital for Rs in elections. Elon will be an influence and important voice. On X. Not campaigning with Elon himself. It’s no longer necessary. You can’t replicate what he did with Trump. It never works that way in politics. But he will help R causes as a continued thought influencer and that’s what matters.

And of course this begs the question. Democrats told you all these positions and ideas are the “right side of history.” So why are they abandoning them? (They aren’t they’re just rebranding them) Also, they shut down earth because of the flu. But maybe if the white guys in their party grow their beards longer, Americans will vote for them again: https://www.politico.com/news/2025/06/07/great-unawokening-2028-presidential-candidates-00393376 (I can’t stop laughing at the bolded) …..“Stop talking about bathrooms and locker rooms and start talking about the classroom,” said Emanuel, the former ambassador to Japan and two-term Chicago mayor who said he is open to a 2028 presidential campaign. “If one child is trying to figure out their pronoun, I accept that, but the rest of the class doesn’t know what a pronoun is and can’t even define it,” Each of these candidates are, either deliberately or tacitly, countering a perceived weakness in their own political record or party writ large—Emanuel, for example, has called the Democratic Party “weak and woke”; Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) has said the party needs more “alpha energy”; others like Newsom are perhaps acknowledging a more socially liberal bent in the past. On diversity, equity, and inclusion, some in the party are also sending a signal they’re no longer kowtowing to their left flank. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg removed his pronouns from his social media bio months ago, and questioned how the party has communicated about it. Ground zero for the party’s great un-awokening was this week’s WelcomeFest, the moderate Democrats’ Coachella. There, hundreds of centrist elected officials, candidates and operatives gathered to commiserate over their 2024 losses and their party’s penchant for purity tests. Panels on Wednesday featured Slotkin, Reps. Jared Golden (D-Maine) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.), described as “legends of the moderate community,” and included a presentation by center-left data guru David Shor, who has urged Democrats to shed toxic positions like “defund the police.” Adam Frisch, the former congressional candidate and director of electoral programs at Welcome PAC, said his party is “out of touch culturally with a lot of people.” “I think a lot of people are realizing, whether you’re running for the House, the Senate, or the presidential, we better start getting on track with what I call the pro-normal party coalition,” Frisch said. “You need to focus on normal stuff, and normal stuff is economic opportunity and prosperity, not necessarily micro-social issues.”

In fairness to Cook - if asked which of these RBs including Cook, would you want for the next 3 years - who would you take? Not including rookies or guys on rookie deals. 1. Jeanty 2. Taylor 3. Cook Bijan, Achane, and Gibbs are going to reset the market. Maybe Breece. I think Cook and Pacheco’s number should be similar. The Chiefs are letting it play out as of now and he’s not holding out. I think that’s what the Bills do with Cook. Who definitely thinks he should be near what Bijan, Gibbs, Achane, and Beece will eventually get.
