  1. How about we get rid of Brad Smith..........Keep SJ, Goodwin, Woods, Hogan, Rogers, Easley, and TJ (and if we can only keep 6, I think I can let TJ go for some reason before the other guys.)
  2. But your avatar shows that it says Bruce is Loose. Not Bad Things, Man. That was the Dennis Hopper commercial. it's way better trying to temper the enthusiasm than the usual "come on, it's only preseason. Remember how many preseason games the Super Bowl Bills lost?"
  3. Lou was not the coach of the Bills during Harris' first training camp when he was supposedly segregated and given an intern's job. The News article by Pergament wasn't critical of the doc........This commmentor had the same question I did: Michael Morrison • 8 days ago Um, wait. Did O. J. have to stay in a six dollar a day room at the YMCA, too? Didn't the Bills have plenty of other African American players at the time? I'm just saying there has to be more to the story than just James Harris being singled out as the one guy going to the YMCA.
  4. Most of it was stuff that I had heard some of been not the full story, so it was really infuriating. Marlin Briscoe was a great QB in high school and college and of course was turned into a DB by Denver, but not before he said give me 3 days at QB to show my skills........Lou Saban then started him after the starting QB back got hurt. He played great. Set rookie records that still stand - even Elway didn't break them. So, what do the Broncos do - trade him to the Bills as a wide receiver. He played one down the rest of his career at QB. He definitely was an excellent receiver. Warren Moon not even getting invited to a camp, much less not drafted, after his career at UWash. Are you kidding me?!? But, the only part that didn't ring true for me was what James Harris had to say about the Bills. He got drafted in the 8th round. He said that for training camp, they set everybody else up in a hotel (maybe they were at that motel in Blasdell at the time?), but he was sent to a YMCA. Supposedly because he was a black quarterback..........But, there were other black players on the team. Why would they only send the QB to the YMCA? And, then he said that gave him a humiliating job - he had to clean the cleats in the trainers room. This all sounds absurd to me - seeing that they made him the starting QB coming out of that camp.........Is my BS detector calibrated right?
  5. Not with you on either one there.
  6. She had blood alcohol level of .34 on Sunday. Holy crap!
  7. Totally agree about Christie Brinkley. She's the hottest 59 year old in history.
  8. I can't believe he's 36 years old. He looks like a dorky teenager.
  9. I avoided it for the last year or two, but it won't let me any longer.
  10. Very cool
  11. I have not been taking the time, and have been paying dearly for it.........Really like what Dazed has to say, and believe pretty much as he does.
  12. At the Stones concert on July 4th, 1978, I saw a guy with a sign that said "Wanna OD, Come see Me"
  13. I always have and probably will rather be AT the game than watch it on TV, but it is becoming such a hassle that I can see why people would think this way.............The games aren't that fun to watch without crowds though.
  14. You can take that win. I would call it a loss: Aug 31, 2012 - At 2 p.m., the mercury met the 95-degree threshold for the 28th time this year in Washington, D.C., matching the record for the most such days ...
  15. Wait - now you're using metro areas?
  16. Ha - that worked - thanks!!
  17. Almost everybody I know who no longer lives here would come back if they could get the same job here. I don't think I know anybody who has ever left because they don't like it here.
  18. Same here...........And as for NYC, that's what I love about it. You don't have to drive at all. Trains, cabs, etc. is all you need.
  19. Sure, he could be an outlier with some easy commute, but in general what you are saying is how most people have it. I actually think DC/Balt traffic is even worse than the three you mention.
  20. Only somebody who thinks in terms of city size and not MSA could make the asinine argument that Buffalo traffic is worse than DC. Buffalo is making huge strides - not so much from all the waterfront development, medical campus, etc. - but from the fact that you're gone.
  21. I'm going by what is in the first paragraph of wikipedia for both cities. If you really think Wichita is bigger than Buffalo because there are more people in the city limits then you don't know what "Buffalo" means. I guess I've been lying all these years when I tell people I'm from Buffalo because I've actually never lived in the city............I am quite sure Erie Co itself still has 1M people, so that makes up pretty much all of that population number I quoted. How much do you think Cattaraugus has? Have fun wasting your life away in traffic. I'd go crazy if I lived anywhere in the Balt/DC area. Living your life around traffic patterns and then still having it not work out. Going back to Mike Schoop, a few months ago, somebody tweeted that Tony Kornheiser said (and I listen to him every day so I know he says this) that the most important things in life are traffic and parking. Schoop retweeted that and said "I guess they are if you live in DC."
  22. I have always had a separate youtube sign in, and I know it keeps wanting me to not use that and use my real name and gmail account. Now, it appears I've reached the end of the line and have to do that: We no longer support signing in with your old YouTube password Must have started at midnight. Is there any way for me to access my playlists without the world knowing that I just watched a Peter Pan video that somebody Rick rolled me from TBD??
  23. 1) No 2) Good question! 3) Only if you want to imply they were clubbing. If you're trying to imply they are hooking, nobody will know what you're talking about but us old farts.
