The Browns season was a mess and Stefanski basically gave up playcalling when Watson went down so that the stink of what followed was on Dorsey. But when you watch them... a lot of the same issues we saw when he was here arose. Dreadful at blitz pickup, seeming lack of hot route adjustment, receivers runnning downfield and ending up crashing into one another at the same spot, total lsck of quick game. Limited motion even as a means of identifying coverages. Just all a mess. I don't think he is good at this. If he wants to coordinate college is his route. If he wants to coach in the NFL I am sure there will be QB coach opportunities for him.

They actually got super lucky because they decided Johnson couldn't and traded UP to draft Andre Dillard in the first round to be their LT. He was a bust but they hit with Mailata the following draft in round 7. It was Howie's version of bust with Elam but hit with Benford. I ultimately don't think the Bills will need Brown to play LT. I think they have something in Grable. He had as good a pre-season as I have ever seen from a rookie tackle on the Bills. The fact that he beat out RVD for the swing spot and then we have seen VD play and look perfectly serviceable against Indy is more encouragement. We need to see it on the field and hopefully we get a chance today. He is the guy I am most looking forward to. But sure, Brown gives them at least an option if their other plans fail.
