TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #30 (Poll Closed)
GunnerBill replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he and Ed are two very similar versions of the same guy. I loved Ed coming out and I love Nolen. I just don't know if them together is the ideal combination. I think Nolen can play the run, probably does it slightly better than Ed although Ed's run defense has always been better than you'd think reading this forum. It's more just both of them really want to penetrate getting either of them to go full gas in a game plan where they are told, don't worry about getting home - your job is just eat up two blockers and keep them engaged that's your 1/11th.... yea. Not sure I'd get 100% out of either of them asking them to do that anything more than occassionally. -

I am hearing the two sexual assault allegations we know about are not the only ones. There are people out there digging and they seem to think there are more women who have experienced similar patterns of behaviour. -

7. I'd forgot all about Princely. Yea. And Scourton. I have both above Loveland. -
It's an exceptional contract Top 5 big board? 1. Hunter; 2. Carter; 3. Graham; 4. Jeanty; 5. Barron. Or did you mean top 5 Bills fits?

And while Beane was less need orientated early in his regime, that's kinda when it is easy to be BPA. When you are building it and you have time and patience on your side. When you are right there and feel like you just need a piece or two to get over the hump becomes much easier to convince yourself that the DT who perfectly fits your need is a better player than the corner who doesn't or vice versa. It's also worth saying the last three drafts are the three without Joe Schoen. And while he has not been a stellar GM in his own right in New York I do know for a fact that he was a vital sounding board for Beane and I was told by someone in the front office - Beane values Joe's player evals more than his own. I am just not sure he has that guy anymore who he can lean on and it shows in some of the day 1 and 2 drafting IMO.

I have 6 guys remaining graded higher than Loveland (one isn't on the poll though). -

I think it is probably because the known about sexual assault allegations are not all there is on him. And based on the rumour mill that is the way it is trending. -

I voted Amos (I just think he is perfect for our scheme) but if Scourton was on the list..... I'd have gone for him. My view on Green is if he is there at #30, you should stay away. Because he only makes it that far is the off field stuff is bad (and I have spoken to one beat reporter this week, not Bills different market who said what we know at this point is tip of the iceberg). -
Yea I just don't think he is their physical prototype.

Bills push to host a future NFL Draft.
GunnerBill replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sadly with Poyer and Diggs gone and Milano maybe on his final run the Bills are short of players who makde me excited in that way. -
I do think a KC trade up for a left tackle is in play, but the way the draft now looks they will probably be in a spot to get Conerly anyway.... and signing Moore means it is a need (their biggest need) but not a desperate situation as it seemed. Yea Virg did say 3 rounder in his preamble but at first he only listed the first round picks. Did you ignore @Virgil's preamble Alpha? He gonna be MAD! 😄
-
I'd argue it is even MORE important with premium picks. Best player available at a premium position IMO, with the exception of Quarterback if you have a Quarterback who is proven and under 35/36.
-
Nope. This is the 3 rounder!
-
That's a good pick. I was between two when I was gonna pick for you. He was my 2nd choice.
-
Just in time.... I had the pick written up 😃. I will step aside sir, let you return to your rightful place 🫡
-
Is @TOboy's time up? If so I am happy to make the pick.
-
Oliver was. But agree... Elam, Kincaid and Coleman were picks for need not BPA.

If the developers see an opportunity that rarely stops them. -
You are not wrong on this class... but if the Bills draft one of those guys what do they do with them if Cook plays? They are not keeping 4 plus Gilliam.

Being a top 3 team in scoring. Does it matter how we do it?
GunnerBill replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
They played well vs the Broncos. It's easy to say "yea but Bo Nix, rookie, etc" but that offense had been on a tear down the stretch even against some playoff teams. The Bills held them to basically one play. Not even one drive. They scored with an opening drive bomb and then disappeared from the game. Now in the games we have lost.... yea they have been bad. I think that is kinda common though. When KC lose in the post season their D has been bad too. Their D hasn't been great against the Bills either. They have just tended to make one play in the crunch that ours hasn't. -
The NFL can opt out of it's current TV deals in 2029

Plenty. There is zero sign at the moment of the market for NFL football slowing. -
Which kid from Texas? Barron? He doesn't have the length they require in corners. I love him. He is 5th on my big board. But I very much doubt the Bills consider him a fit.
-
I could do with us either slowing down or speeding up! At this rate my second round picks are gonna hit while I'm on a flight tomorrow evening....
-
It was what I disliked about him before everything that happened. Out kicking coverage is a major issue for him. He has zero hang time.
-
And I think Nolen played 10-15lbs heavier than 296. I think that is his "workout weight" rather than what he played at. If I had to guess I'd say he was around 305lbs playing weight.
