McDermott: Not Enough Separation from the Bills' WRs
PolishDave replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting analogy. If the Bills team is Bills fans' girlfriend, then Bills fans are Ray Rice -
If they played flawlessly - yes I think it makes the win look very easy. Bills would look dominant and would be dominant. (of course assuming the defense shows up). Even with these receivers and even with the seemingly lackluster passer Tyrod at QB - yes I still think they would make it look easy. Or I could be batcrap crazy and totally wrong.

News worthy? Only as click bait. Not real news. More like worthless non-news. Types of stories only posted to get someone's jack up - and you know it. You're definitely addicted to the drama. Also explains your repeated, incessant, nagging, Tyrod bashing even though every single member of this forum knows your entire position on him and has known it for like - ever. Drama. That is your drug of choice. And in case you are wondering - Yes I am a doc. Doc Polak. -

If The Scheme Isn't Broke Why Change It ??
PolishDave replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. I am thinking that way too. One possibility nobody is talking about or expecting is this: It is entirely possible that at some point this season, this offense is going to start clicking and they are going to start executing it at a high level. I know that seems extremely unlikely after witnessing the Carolina game - nonetheless - stranger things have happened. It could be that Dennison's offense is taking too long to learn for the players - or that he way underestimated how long it would take them. Time will tell. Who knows - maybe they come out one game and lay down a beat down on offense that has everyone scratching their heads questioning themselves and their opinions on what they thought the real problem was. The Bills will start running a lot of shotgun with 4 and 5 wide - and the QB will start gaining yards in big chunks. And it could even happen with Tyrod at QB. I know nobody expects that. Fingers crossed it happens this Sunday. Gotta hope right? That would change a lot of people's opinions (including mine) about whether Dennison is any good or not at his job. Right now his offense looks washed up. -

If The Scheme Isn't Broke Why Change It ??
PolishDave replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I bet you that most of these schemes that these professional coaches develop - if executed to perfection - would work and work very well. The problem is that coming up with a good scheme is the easy part I would think. Coming up with a scheme that the players can execute to perfection and getting them to execute it to perfection is the harder part I would think. On paper, everybody with above average football knowledge and enough time on their hands (a.k.a. coaches) can devise a plan that should work. But how many of those plans work when put into practice? Few. Because of all the other variables. The master chefs - can be handed an awkward bunch of ingredients - and still whip up a meal that will blow you away with how it tastes - because they fully understand the things that really matter when trying to prepare excellent food. -

Your take sucks. And so does your attitude. -
If the offensive line plays flawless in this game ( which is nearly impossible of course) the Bills could easily win this game. (my opinion) But who has any confidence in this offensive line at all? If the offensive line plays like garbage, I have a feeling this would then be a humiliating loss. - Like most games.

If The Scheme Isn't Broke Why Change It ??

I honestly don't think most coaches are capable of changing away from their systems and still coaching at a high level with confidence. It takes a guy like Wade Philips, Andy Reid or Bill Parcells with their vast experience to know enough about the game to be able to make major change away from their system in order to really adapt to the whatever player personnel they are handed. Few guys can do it. Most can't I bet. In fact, I think a lot of these coaches are still trying to prove to themselves that their system is the best. But they often times cannot find out because they aren't coaching in one position long enough to get the entire personnel group they desire to operate their system to their satisfaction. There are very few "true masters" of the sport in coaching positions. If there were more - you would see more coaches adapt and adapt quickly and adapt effectively. -

No way man. I'm Hot Blooded. Check it and see. -
Maybe Dennison has been doing the same thing since high school and just added in a couple extra passing plays is all? 1970's style. Back when the cars had muscle and the girls liked chest hair.

Denver doesn't want to come here.

Chad Kelly is telling the team to bring their passports so they can drive over to Niagara Falls for a little high end adult entertainment. With any luck one of them will bring weed and get the team detained at the border so some starters miss the game. Get'r done Chad. You got it in you. Get the ghetto out. -
He created that new thread after posting this. But give it to him anyway. HAAAAARRRRRR!

Welcome new dude! You should post this in one of the other Tyrod threads and then delete this one. Crazy idea for you : Change your Screen name to Juke Box Hero - that's way cooler than just using a band name. -
The point of motion is to be able to better read the defense so you can adjust accordingly. If you have zero intention of adjusting, then motion seems kind of pointless no?
-
Is that a sign on Sycamore street in Buffalo? I would forgo the audibles if Dennison would throw away his genius playbook and use the one from last year to call plays from instead. Or better yet - Pay Anthony Lynn a million dollars to skim through Dennison's playbook and tear out half of whatever he wants. Then have Tyrod go through it and tear out any pass plays he doesn't want. Then run with that playbook.
-
That's not how I think of it. You're just talking about throwing the ball at a moving target - a skill that every QB has to have a reasonable amount of to get to be a starter in the NFL. Throwing a guy open is more about throwing the ball where you want the receiver to go so that he becomes more open as he tracks the ball and runs to catch it. In other words you make the receiver adjust to where the ball is going and in doing so create separation between him and the defenders or to put the ball in a place where only the receiver has a chance to catch it. Or maybe that is not it. That is how I always thought about it.
