Gameday Thread Bills @ Pats* 1st Half
PolishDave replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Rex explains that decision, he better say it was because he was expecting a low scoring game with Brissett at QB. -

I bet your friends love having you around so you can paint a bleak outlook for their future and your own future before it even happens. I bet you are a lot of fun to have around and generally a happy person. -

Go ask the Cardinals if they feel like they got dominated. You bet they do. Solid flat out ass kicking. -
4th & Goal From The 1. TD Or FG?
PolishDave replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wanted them to go for it because I am sick and tired of playing good teams and getting outscored by them because we decided to settle for 3. There are plenty of games (like games against the Patriots when Tom Brady is at QB) where you will lose a game by being too conservative. So, if that situation happens again where it is 4th and 1 and the score is 0-0 and we are playing a high power offense team like the Pats - I say go for it. Glad it worked out against the Cardinals. But I bet it bites them in the ass if they keep making the conservative choice in those situations against other teams with good offenses. -

It is stupid to concern yourself over winning too many NFC game matchups. The goal is to win dude - the more games the better. Yes it is ideal if you beat all the AFC teams, but FFS, a week ago people on here wanted to tank and were convinced we wouldn't win any games this year. Now somebody is worried that we are going to be too good against NFC teams? If you want to make this argument, wait till we lose to another AFC team. Then make the point that the loses vs. AFC hurt you a little more because of tiebreakers. Don't try to make the argument after we just beat a really good NFC team. -
Why can't you just enjoy a win......God...I feel sorry for whoever lives with you....And if you live alone, then I feel sorry for your deusche. So miserable when the Bills win...and you call yourself a Bills fan? WTF? What you witnessed today was a solid beat down ass kicking of a really good Cardinals team. Sorry if you can't enjoy that. Geezuz.

Karlos Williams is missing. Not this year's Karlos either. We miss last year's Karlos Williams.

Week 3 Predictions: Cardinals at Bills
PolishDave replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills offense looks much better. They run the ball better and hit a lot more short and intermediate passing plays. But, instead of trying to take shots at the endzone, they are too focused on getting first downs. As a result - too many drives stall and not enough scoring. Bills go into the fourth quarter winning this one. In the second to last drive for the Cards, Fitzgerald gets the game winning touchdown. Bills fans come away thinking "We should have won this game." And " The defense played okay but let us down again when they needed to be strong." Cardinals over Bills 27-23 P.S. Rex blows his stack in press conference after game. -
Yep. That contributes. For me personally, I used to watch every game possible where there was at least one AFC East team playing. Now I refuse to watch Patriot games unless I think the other team has a real good shot at beating them. I'm literally just sick of watching them win and knowing there is no way we are going to compete for the division yet another year. I prefer to not watch and stay happy instead of getting pissed off yet again. The Biggest Thing For Me: On the majority of plays, if you watch other parts of the field closely besides the ball carrier, someone on the field could be called for a penalty. Most never get called. I get that. Who wants to stop the game? Yet the penalties do seem to get called at times when they could change games. And often times it will be a bad call or at least very questionable. And then there are too many situations when a penalty should be called and it isn't. That is friggin maddening and reminds me how unfair this sport really is mainly because of how bad the officiating is. And you won't see the announcers pointing out those situations where a penalty should have been called. They keep their mouths shut and maintain the illusion that the game is really fair and that the refs are doing a great job. Just think about how much officiating can impact a game and even a season for a team. One call can decide whether a team makes the playoffs or not. One call can decide whether a team ultimately ends up with home field advantage for a playoff game. One call can end a season.

I love these "planning for misery" threads. They inspire me and make me feel better about life. - NOT For those of you who sit around thinking up ways about how your life could become more miserable - "I can only imagine how miserable your life must already be." I pitty you. -
Except that they did try to keep him and when he left they were in full on panic mode. Its not like the Broncos made a cool calm a collected decision to cut ties with Brock and move on. They wanted him back. If they had gotten their way, Brock would still be in Denver.
-
No. They saw him play in preseason. It was quite obvious that Cardale is not anywhere close to being ready to start for any NFL team. Plus, like other people said here, you have to see as much Tyrod as you can before you make the decision to part ways with him or not.

Rex Told Lynn That Lynn Would Be The Next Head Coach
PolishDave replied to birdo67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally believable. But not what the original poster said. There is little doubt that Rex probably reassured Lynn that Lynn would be promoted within the ranks as the opportunities presented themselves. And I don't doubt that Rex may have tried to convince him that staying with Rex would be his fastest path to head coaching. All that is believable. Just not how it was presented in the original post. And having said all that, then it means that the things Rex said to Lynn were a lot of the same things that probably get said to every assistant coach that has aspirations of getting to head coach one day. In other words - nothing new here at all. No story. It only becomes a story if gets twisted into being some kind of master plan by a sinister head coach plotting his own demise where every step has been premeditated in the off season before one single game has even been played. That part is the B.S. part. Yes. Nice one. He did make it to head coach in the NFL. But the NFL weeds loser mentalities fast - less than one year for him. Dude completely cracked under pressure of a season that spiraled downward. -

they should have put their backup qb in and tried to draw the Pats offsides.
