Is Trent Brown a possible option?
Orlando Buffalo replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he cost 13+ million i would not go near him. I can not beleive anyone gives a NE lineman money like that when they cut him -
we will have to agree to disagree unless one of us can line this fight up(do you know Tyree Jackson by chance?)-but the reason boxing went to weight classes is too many small dudes were being pounded by much larger men and people did not want to pay to see it. Lastly I am not questioning toughness of Smith but toughness does not make up for that much height and power.

Wow yao ming was actually 70 lbs heavier and 9 inches taller-same as malone vs stockton- my point is you found the major exception to the rule and were so proud of your cleverness. There is a reason they have boxing weight classes and it is because little dudes get messed up by big dudes in fair fights.

All the comments about how crazy steve smith is, while accurate, are not needed because 80% of NFL is crazy. If you play a game at a high level where every week you get hit that much in the head it makes you nuts. Few hit the age of 50 without some major mental issues. I will take the dude with 50 lbs and 8 inches every day in a straight fight. Both dudes are arhletes so yeah i take Jackson everyday all day.

I hope Buffalo is looking at Ross from AZ and Johnson from Orlando- both seem to have good hands and i really think they could part of a strong recieving corp that goes 5 deep relatively cheap. I do not like the idea of spending big money on WR since QB makes WR look good- or bad- so often. I get your logic but I think they are worried about XFL being successful and Would rather break even on a product that they control then have a different league pop up and be successful against the NFL wishes.

As I read mostly reasonable responses I realize how absurd the premise is- you must have total loyalty to one team. It is built on the concept that the NFL is anything more than an entertainment venture. No one sanely argues you can only like one movie studio or one genre of book. I do not begrudge somone the right to be all in but the argument you must be is absurd.

I have watched several game each week and it shows me how few guys on defenses are truly great and how many work with certain systems- basically how many cbs can be press or zone but not both and true of all defense positions
-
I can not believe anyone will give him that kind of cash since he just sat a year where he was offered 14 .million. His loyalty is not the team but himself which is not a bad thing except for where it cost 25 million a year. Did anyone say less than 10 million a year? If the Bills can sign him for 4 years at 40 million i would say do it now. My bet is 4 years about 55 million

Many recievers seem to do well with one kind of qb and i think Allen and Mckenzie might be that kind of duo. Very limited time together but i liked what i saw compared to higher priced offensive players. -
Current NFL CBA ends after 2020. AAF in the mix?
Orlando Buffalo replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the aaf and nfl are going to become officially linked at that point- PS dudes will be linked to a team in league or some such thing. AAF is not coming near NFL and i like AAF. -
Your funny- i am not sure if it is intentional- but i dont hate Clay- i respect Clay- i think he worked his hardest for 4 years but was hurt more often then not and his talent was not enough to overcome his injuries. If you think my laughing at your attacks is " emotional outbursts" than so be it but none of it was aimed at Clay as a person simply his consistency.

No one has been reliable- sammy was great a few games and terrible others- robert woods was as close as we had to reliable and he was only here two of those years. I am though confused on what your point is since the Bills do not have to have reliable recievers for Clay to be unreliable- McCoy was reliable up to this season- Tyrod was reliable not to turn ball over and have a nice deep ball almost every game and make a few plays with his legs. Clay was not consistent in any way.

I likely will regret this but who is completely unreliable?

WR Charles Johnson of Orlando Apollos
Orlando Buffalo replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seeing as how Fredex came from a similar league as did guys like Kurt Warner it is shortsighted not to think some of these guys make rosters and make some impact. I especially see how Johnson could make a team, he dominated lesser talent today. I doubt many NFL recievers would have done better considering who was throwing to him. -

I agree- i bet a few players from each team are at the very least in training camps this year and a few from the league make rosters.
