The rule is written plainly and the Oliver call is within the parameters. I don't like the rule much but it was called correctly. The RTP on Josh was also correct due to falling him with weight. That rule I like better but neither call was why the crew calling that game was garbage. Let the players play and only call which must be called, like RTP.

As I think most have stated is that officiating is awful overall. Of course we see the bad against us more but when the NFL could improve it quickly and easily and choose not to it is maddening

Something's I heard today from a medical historian is that part of the reason for this not dying out is that we shut things down so far that the disease had too much time to adapt. Basically if we had simply lived our normal lives we would have had more illness in 2020 but because of herd immunity much less in 2021 and beyond. The odd part is that the gifted program in my son's school is almost 50% minority in a majority white school. It is almost as if when the home of a child pushes education the kids flourish regardless of race.

I think we often when pissed will say it is intentional when we know it is incompetence, I know I say it Sunday but by Monday know they just suck. The issue is simply that inconsistency is going to favor one team or the other based on things that are not rule based. For example in the Pitt game one of the hold calls came because the Dlinemen threw his hands up, even though he was not held. The ability to manipulate officials that way should not happen. Also most officials are 60+ years old and can not get into position to make proper calls therefore rely on other indicators of fouls. NFL can fix it but choose not to.
