  1. We basically agree on the overall format and now we are have a major difference on penalty, so I ask you what the proper punishment is for someone who intentionally gives "this book is gay" to a bunch of 5th graders, which tells kids how to meet adults online without parent permission? That was the one of the occurrences that got this whole bill started. Or how about giving them Mein Kumpf without parental awareness? The felony charge will only be use in extreme cases but if it is not on the books the threat is not there, you can't create the law after the fact.
  2. Just to be clear-you mean if a person was told by their boss to remove a book and they decided to keep it in the media center? I would fire them. Where did you hear it was felony? That is inaccurate, you will be fired unless it is so bad that it is truly indefensible.
  3. I will expand on OCLS is Orange County Library System which you can order books online for delivery your house. I do understand the confusion with OCPS which is Orange County Public Schools. OCLS can do as you state not OCPS. OCPS, especially at the lower levels, must make sure that books are proper. My high school just bought 140 new books this calendar year, they put out a notice to the public and none were challenged. In the past 18 months only one was removed, a book with a graphic rape scene. Several were challenged mainly do the fact that minorities were the villains in the books such as Idi Amin
  4. I keep calling you a hack because you have no idea what the FL is all about. You keep pretending that books are "banned" that are easily available. If my daughter orders a book from OCLS I can see the book title online before it is delivered to my house. If a teacher gives her a book I have no idea and unfortunately about 10% of teachers show poor judgement that way.
  5. The school is the government, apparently you are unaware that us public school teachers are paid by the government. Parents and community are making the decision. As I have stated multiple times the books are still available at the OCLS libraries, once again thanks for confirming you are a simply political hack.
  6. Maybe I am missing the point you are making, why are you for schools putting sexually explicit books into children hands if not to sexualize them? These books are still at the main library if parents want to check them out and give them to kids.
  7. Campbell would be fine as a low cost rotation guy for our Dline but he is not a major impact player anymore.
  8. Good to know you realize your viewpoint is indefensible and just gave up.
  9. You need to check who you are responding to I less you are trying to state that sexualizing children is fun.
  10. Yes a political hack for claiming that a book being given to high schoolers is "banned". It is a lie and only true to political hacks. The books all are not banned because I can get all of them from my library, so I ask again why do you want to fight to sexualize children?
  11. The curriculum has very strict guidelines, and parents picked the school for this reason. It appears the principal went outside the guidelines intentionally and was fired for it. Your comment about sharia law is interesting since you are equating not showing a child nudity to the belief that gays should be murdered and woman are property of men, once again showing that politics are more important than kids.
  12. Are you drunk? I don't know what you think this means but reporters do not questions students under 18 due to privacy laws. Just like they don't ask studentd about Biden and his daughter
  13. What books do you think are being removed from schools? Not understanding the reference at this point means you are a political hack who literally has paid no attention to the real story. https://restoreottawa.substack.com/p/this-book-is-gay-a-how-to-book-for
  14. Do you appreciate the parents for calling out the small minded bureaucrat principal? Or do you just mean you like liberals?
  15. Schools don't have libraries they have media centers, we don't have librarians, we have specialists and the media center books are generally reference books or current magazines, the books for entertainment are usually in teachers rooms now, at least in Florida. But I have a real question, why would you fire someone for a playboy if not for a book that tells a child how to meet people online?
  16. So since someone else is incompetent you will let them lead you?
  17. You actually had to say "good troll"? Using children to troll parents is good? That alone tells me that you value politics over children.
  18. Once again can you name one book that is banned on Florida? The kama sutra is available at OCLS library, so you are 0 for 1, unless you actually believe that any limitation at a workplace is the same as banning.
  19. Your best catch against me is I missed an autocorrect, score for you. If your school did not have it why are you fighting for my child to have access to it? This is gonna fun when a teacher puts a straight up porn book in their class and then sue when they are removed. Why is it Goose that you are so dedicated to children learning where you want to stick your anatomy?
  20. This explains a lot that your school had the Karma Sutra in their elementary school
  21. The amount of people who don't understand the words they use is astounding. Everyone who wants to get one of these books can still get it. They simply can't get them from school. Your argument is the same that your work computer does not allow you to access alcohol or gambling websites, therefore you are banned.
  22. Can you name any book banned in Florida?
  23. I find this new twist of the dude negotiating for him hilarious. Most likely this dude is just calling NFL teams and claiming to be his rep in order to get some free meal or something. I truly want to see a picture of this guy at a meeting
  24. As stated it is a rare occurrence but if the main witness is getting time off their conviction and has previously said the exact opposite, then yes it should be allowed to happen. If the grand jury does not push forward with the case I will be surprised because of how low the threshold is but if this whole can be toppled by a few simple questions than it should not go forward.
