I can't take credit for this realization but the only people who currently are concerned about COVID, beyond the usual flu, are those vaccinated against it. Also according to the CDC every 1 million vaccines of people under 18 will save 0-1 lives. It is not a vaccine, it is a therapy and pretty poor one at that.

As in any job, most teachers are good people but the bad ones pretend they are "brave" by validating this insanity. Kids often go to the adult that tells them what they want to hear and terrible adults do that.

Things I have noticed accelerate over the past few years: 1) parents fighting for their children to be labeled disabled such as dysgraphia and auditory issues and literally going to specialists to ensure that the standard for their child is lowered. 2) parents thinking that it is appropriate to contact college professors to "advocate" for their child while acting like their child is 11 not 21. 3) parents lying to their children about what they have accomplished. This might not be new but just more open about it. I had a student whose parents acted like their 3.5 weighted GPA is enough to go to Gainesville, when a 5.0 is not a guarantee. 4) immediately suing a school district before even trying to fix it, basically trying to hit the lawsuit lottery. It is all making teaching harder because as much I like 98% of the kids about 20% of parents think it is my job to help their kids more than them.

The masks do not improve safety for anyone, even CNN admits that now. As for the vaccine we now know for a fact that it will cause myocarditis in more children than would die from COVID, so if you have a healthy child the vaccine is more a threat than the illness. As you point out common sense says that any "vaccine" I have to get every six months and require everyone else around me get in order to be effective, is not a vaccine. You are like my aunt who told everyone in the summer of 2021 that since was going to be at a family function she would not be there because my kids were not vaccinated, you are an immoral person who would destroy the lives my kids so you don't have to be uncomfortable, you are ok with the increased risk of suicide, obesity and speech development issues that you caused at a hundred fold to the kids you helped with the vaccine mandates. Lastly as for the numbers I understand risk better than almost anyone, which is why I waited to get the first vaccine for myself and will not allow my kids to get any.

You believe CNN over actual CDC numbers. Less than 1700 of the 130000 deaths, or 1.5% is from COVID since 2020.
