Something that I realized this week when discussing the bloat of the Federal government is that there are 30+ "police" forced in DC and despite that fact the Capitol building was overrun by a few thousand people without a gun. As a teacher in FL I don't have to be part of the union and any chance to recruit me died when instead of forcing the county to pay me more when I came back to work after COVID they simply made them spend thousands of dollars per teacher on "mitigation" items to "protect" me from COVID. They simply made sure that their buddies got the contracts for these overpriced items. No one who I personally know likes there union much, but many at least get more money from them, I get nothing really.

This is stupid, I guarantee you my neighborhood has more guns per person then any liberal city and our crime in the 22 years I have lived here had consisted of teenagers egging houses and breaking into unlocked cars about 8 years ago. There is literally no evidence that more guns leads to more crime, unless you are only counting gun crimes. You have pushed for stronger gun limits but when your guy is breaking the law in manner that 90% of us agree with you defend him, you are truly a straight politics person.
