  1. There's a Real Audio audio streaming clip running now off of the press release.
  2. 45% Yankee
  3. Why would this have anything to do with aliens? Based on the bio of the Harvard researcher, it seems like this is some sort of black hole discovery.
  4. I am not sure I buy into the whole if he wants to commit suicide let him do it. Usually such behavior is the product of mental illness of some sort. If it is not a decision made with a clear head, then I think people should make an effort to stop it from happening, just like any threat to one's life caused by an illness.
  5. I have been reluctant to see it because I figured that it would be unfair to the Scott Norwood type character. Is that not true?
  6. Reputation lags reality. Initial quality is the first step, but warranty and longer measures of quality are also improving. Impending doom can motivate change. By the way, Google Honda Transmission and see the tales of dissatisfied customers who have had transmission issues with Honda vehicles at around the 100K mark. Consumer Reports has stopped automatically recommending Toyota reliability because of significant reliability issues with some new vehicles including the new Tundra. I am not going to argue that the domestics -- even Ford -- have caught up with foreign makes outside of initial quality, but there is no perfect reputation and 50,000 of trouble free miles on a 2006 car is not remarkable.
  7. Yes, but of course they have the advantage of not having labor legacy costs and not having to deal with the production costs of unions outside of the Nummi plant Toyota shares with GM in California.
  8. I doubt it. The Fit is not made in the United States or Canada. I doubt the domestic content is high at all. Domestic content is only competitive in foreign make models actually assembled here.
  9. And also ignoring that the same NFL that requires revenue sharing to keep up on-the-field competitiveness also protects their home markets from competitors.
  10. This loophole in the revenue sharing system does not make sense to me. What makes regular tickets any more worthy of being shared as luxury boxes? Change the split from the 60/40 or whatever it is now on everything, but get rid of the stupid formula for revenue sharing for smaller teams and share all revenues at some level with the visiting team including the luxury boxes.
  11. Dude, I am on your side. I am worried about the Bills moving but am sick of the "its inevitable" talk.
  12. Unfortunately a lot of that is the product of little debt on the team.
  13. I was trying to just get a finger on whether she was implying something with that post.
  14. How hard have they tried? Are you thinking that the Bills simply do not think that it's time to negotiate with so much up in the air or do you think there is something more nefarious afoot?
  15. That's a complete non sequitur. Not running your team like any other business is not the same as wanting to give away money to a team that competes with you on the field.
  16. It's not as if they buy a team in order to lose money, but the idea that they run it like any other business is foolish.
  17. Exactly. There is little doubt that recycling of metal is good. There is increasing controversy about the rest.
  18. Some owners own teams like normal businesses, but most own them for pleasure and ego.
  19. For a Toronto move to happen, the following all needs to happen: (1) A Toronto ownership group has to outbid any ownership group in Buffalo or anywhere else, and be able to pay the relocation fee that the NFL charges teams moving to larger markets (they have to compensate the loss of a potential expansion location ---- the NFL might waive this to some extent but it's still an issue). (moderate difficulty) (2) The NFL has to be okay with destroying the CFL, which will happen if there is a full fledged team in Toronto and defending against the inevitable lawsuits if such a move occurred. (high difficultly). (3) Either public authorities or the new ownership group will have to pay for a state-of-the-art stadium to replace the Rogers Centre, because it is not a NFL-class stadium and sustained revenue growth requires a higher class of stadium. (moderate difficulty) I am not saying that the Bills are not at risk of moving, but I don't see what makes Toronto so inevitable.
  20. I am curious about how many of these requests will translate to actual sales considering how high the prices have been announced to be. If there was no cost to putting your name in, how are we supposed to know how serious people actually were?
  21. It seems like the best way to run the offense is to have Reed brought in on shorter yardage so that he can either catch a tight pass in traffic and not get killed, and also block if need be. Parrish seems to be one to bring in during more passing situations. They seem to complement each other well as platoon third receivers.
  22. Thanks for the info. Do they compete on everything and not just the rate? I have been disappointed with my initial pre-approval tacking on so much extra costs above the down payment.
  23. A-Train got 100 yard games as a spot starter, including one last season.
  24. Has anyone had any experience this site? I am going to be buying my first house soon, so I am wondering about whether this is a good way to get the best mortgage.
