Yes, that was a brutal draft, but why would he make such a bad draft on purpose? Give the guy a little more credit than that. By the way, did Avion Black even make the team?

Note that this is a guy who decided to go to West Point in 2004 when the army was well-engaged in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The chances of him knowing that both (1) he would be good enough to play professional football and (2) that the Army would develop this program are virtually nil. I really doubt that he is just looking for a way to avoid his service commitment based on these facts. He simply wants to play pro football.

This seems like a generally awkward situation. It seems more like he wants the chance to play professional football rather than get out of his service commitment. I do not think this guy is like "yay, now I don't have to go to Iraq." Otherwise, it would be hard for him to serve as a recruiter.

All this talk about Jauron being obsessed with DBs seems a little unfair. Yes the Bills drafted Whitner, but they seemed to be in no rush to re-sign Clements or to draft a young replacement last year. Instead they did the whole, well we think that our young guys can step up and that we can sign some retread veteran to fill the void. It didn't work, especially against a team like the Patriots. This year they bring in a potential shut-down corner and bring in a mix of veterans and lower round draft picks to bolster their depth. And it's not as if the Patriots only have Welker and Moss. They have long been the master of the 5 WR and 4 WR formations that always have been killing us. We need good coverage. I mean, crap, I actually wouldn't be surprised if they figure out how to use Aiken as a 4th or 5th threat.

There's something to the law and economics movement, however the idea that an EULA could basically allow CR owners to in effect do an end around the rights and limits of copyright law seems silly to me.

I think I recall a 4th rounder not making it in the 1990s, but maybe my memory is faulty. Can anyone think of relatively highly drafted players who could not make the team for a rookie season? Also, what was the name of that WR who barely made the team and then when players were asked who was always late to meetings, it was this guy?

Why would they keep 6? They were operating with 5 this season. And Aiken would need to be cut from the Patriots first...

Parrish brings plenty offensively, he's just more of a 4th/3rd WR to stretch the field on passing downs. He made some big plays for us last season. Now, was he worth the 2d round pick, maybe not... but that is a moot Q.

I think he either has to make it as the 5th WR (I doubt we keep 6) or he's on the practice squad.
