  1. If they're going to take a FB in R4, I'd rather it be Hillis. Of course, I don't want them to take a FB until the last couple of rounds.
  2. They could certainly make worse picks. He adds a ton of value as a runner and receiver, while being an adequate blocker. I'd still much rather add a TE or perhaps DT.
  3. I'd like to see them draft either Martin Rucker or Kellen Davis at 114. Then again, the Bills seem content to sign guys out of the local McDonalds to play TE.
  4. 104 picks in, Cleveland finally makes a pick.
  5. No kidding. Then again, the Bills are so bad at the position that a late pick could probably be an improvement over the backups at the least.
  6. The teams with the same record alternate in order through the draft.
  7. I think a good argument can be made for Chris Ellis being better than the TEs, but Courtney Anderson and Teyo Johnson? Nah, I think some of these guys could, at the very least, be very competitive with what they already have. Teyo, in particular, has had difficulty even staying in the league.
  8. I think we're on the same page here. I love the pick of James Hardy, but I think he's more of a redzone guy who works primarily outside the hash marks. He can help over the middle, but he's not a guy who can work there every down like a TE, IMO. Its been a problem for years and I'm not convinced the Bills will ever adequately address this position.
  9. It would be nice if they'd make a move up the board here, wouldn't it? I agree, its depressing. TE is a complete afterthought to this team, but not surprisingly, year-after-year, they struggle throwing the ball over the middle. Hardy helps a little there, but he's not really the answer to that issue, IMO.
  10. Crap, there goes Jermichael Finley to Green Bay. Really good player, IMO.
  11. Damn, and I've been watching ESPN this whole time!
  12. There's no one I had as a first rounder still left. Connor was the last. At a quick glance, it looks like perhaps only 8-10 2nd rounders as well. This draft appears to be going pretty close to expectations. Manningham was probably a late 1st at one time and is falling, but everyone expected it. I had him going in the 4th before the draft.
  13. I don't know about that. He's been a multi-year starter in one of the best defensive programs in college football. He's been very productive. He has the size to start, plus he graded out very well at the combine. The point is, on paper, he seems to have all the prerequisites you look for in a potential starter at that position.
  14. I especially like the NFL.com comparison...Simeon Rice. If he turns out remotely close to that level, I think we did alright.
  15. I'll trust the Bills to have investigated that incident, which is something we can't do. I'd also like to hear his side of the story.
  16. Yeah, but Corey Moore was 5'11 230lbs and was trying to move to OLB.
  17. If there's one thing the Bills need, its someone on defense with some attitude and isn't afraid to knock someone's head off every once in a while, even at the potential expense of a penalty. This team definitely needs an infusion of talented guys with a mean streak.
  18. They may not take a TE, who knows, but they have reportedly talked with several of them in the last couple of months. I think they do have some interest in adding one and I believe they will select one in the 4th or 5th, though it may not be one of the name guys we've discussed here.
  19. Couldn't be happier to see that guy off the board. He's the one TE in this draft I didn't want the Bills to pick.
  20. They took a guy who is 6'4 260lbs+, runs as well as anyone in this draft at that position, and had 8.5 sacks on one of the best Ds in the country, fills a big need for a pass rushing specialist and you're complaining!?
  21. I think we may very well see them move up to take a TE sometime in the next 10-15 picks.
  22. Off the top of my head, he's about 6'4 260lbs, ran very well at the combine. I think he had 7 sacks this year (correction: 8.5). Went about where I thought he would.
  23. I'm saying Cliff Avril or Kellen Davis.
