No WRs have been taken yet, but no one expected a WR to go before 17 if the Bills passed, anyway. Now it gets interesting.

McKelvin? Its an OK pick. He's better than what the Bills have, no question, but given how conservatively the Bills always play their CBs, and the fact they never re-sign them, AND the fact that I've seen more dynamic passing attacks at the local high school, this isn't a pick I can get overly excited about. Hopefully they can find some help offensively later in this draft. I'm not that optimistic, unfortunately.

I can buy that. If they stay at 41, I expect the top WRs to be long gone. If that's the case, the pick will probably be a receiving TE. Fred Davis?

That's very possible, but with 30 picks between, its also possible that every one of them (plus a few) are gone when they select again at 41. Hopefully, they made the right decision, but we'll see.

I hope you're right. I'm not so much disappointed in the pick of McKelvin as I am concerned that the Bills will not be able to acquire some significant help for their passing game. If they don't do that, I think you can pretty much write '08 off before it begins. Of course, I also expect that this will be almost a straight offensive draft the rest of the way. If not, they're (probably) nuts.

I think that a trade up is probably their plan. These early trades haven't been particularly costly and the Bills may feel they stand a good chance of moving up a bit later on to get a player they really like. Hell, they could still get Devin Thomas, if he's the WR they really want.

They'd better have a plan and a good bit of luck, that's for sure. I don't see a quality WR prospect falling to #41 this year, at least not one that'll actually beat out Reed or Parrish.

I have a feeling that the guy they want is James Hardy. I really hope they aren't planning on taking Malcolm Kelly at 41. Too many big WRs who can't run have flopped in recent years for me to be anything but skeptical of that one.

Oh well. Nice, solid, but boring as hell pick. I like it well enough. After seeing how little these trades are costing , hopefully they decided they can easily move up for a WR rather easily.

After watching that interview with Russ Brandon posted on the Bills site this morning, I think they're definitely intending to move down.
