  1. Its about what I was expecting as well. The Bears had the better OL, the better DL, and they're using them to their advantage. Defensively, they've completely stopped McGahee. Our OL can't compete with them. Offensively, they're just running over the Bills DL. Inexperienced QB vs best D in the NFL? Its no contest. This outcome should come as no suprise.
  2. Yep. The first drop was inexcusable. The 2nd pass was a little low, but catchable.
  3. The Bills OL and DL both appear significantly outclassed so far today.
  4. Speaking of one-sided, someone should ask Mort why Levy's Bills are playing respectably, when Donahoe's teams couldn't, despite having a similar roster.
  5. The thing you don't realize is that the Bills actually LOST this game. You see, that TD pass to Peerless Price does not count, since it required him to run after the catch and as we all know, anything that a WR does after the catch does not count.
  6. It wasn't a perfect pass, but no QB throws every pass perfectly. If you want to hold him to that kind of standard, no QB ever plays a mistake free game.
  7. I really don't care what it looked like and I doubt the Bills do, either. It put 6 points on the board.
  8. That 3rd down sack leading 17-6 early in the 4th quarter isn't exactly the worst play Losman could have made.
  9. Run. Not that I have a lot of confidence in getting it, but we are in FG range at worst.
  10. Its hard to blame them. They haven't been getting anything with the run when they've tried. The passing game, on the other hand, has been working rather well with the exception of that last drive.
  11. Jim Kelly was 11-20 in his first two seasons in Buffalo. How did that turn out?
  12. I'd just wait two years and draft Darren McFadden of Arkansas.
  13. I dunno. Saying that Losman only racked up those yards due to a prevent seems kind of weak to me. He had about 150 yards at halftime and then racked up another 180 in the 2nd half. Were the Jets playing prevent the whole game?
  14. They threw the ball 38 times. I would expect them to have had decent day statistically as a group. Losman had a great day, statistically, too. His actual game on the field wasn't that great. Stats can often be misleading. Maybe that's not the case here, but I still worry that today's game is a sign of things to come.
  15. The Bills pass rush was typical of the last several seasons: it was a non-factor.
  16. While I don't have any evidence of it, in fact, watching on TV I can't even see it, I'm wondering if our WRs are actually getting open. There were several plays today where Losman had time and was looking all over the field for a reciever and couldn't find anyone. I've been worried about the WR corps since the draft. We have Lee Evans and....? There is no clear-cut #2, and its not because they're all so good they deserve to play. Its because none have stepped up and taken the job. Being fast doesn't necessarily mean a WR is any good. I felt the Bills management really dropped the ball here in the offseason, and am afraid its going to come back to bite them in the ass as this season wears on.
  17. I disagree completely. That is McGahee's responsibility, just like any other pass protector on the play. It IS a team game, afterall.
  18. The first fumble, yes, I agree, it was Losman's fault. He held the ball too long (he did that often today; makes me wonder a bit if this bargain basement WR corp was getting open). On that 2nd fumble, that was one of the more pathetic attempts at a blitz pickup I've seen in a while. That one is as much on McGahee as Losman. Granted, I think McGahee tried to pick him up, but failed miserably. I don't think its unreasonable for Losman to have expected McGahee to have been more effective on the play.
  19. I'd tell him that if he thought the game was tough, just wait until you see the reaction of that half of the fanbase that hates the QB, regardless of who that QB is or what he does on the field.
  20. Yeah, but finding a scapegoat is much more fun and much easier. Quick, somebody get the torches and pitchforks! We've got our 9th QB in 10 years to burn at the stake!
  21. It shouldn't be totally unexpected. The Bills are one of the youngest teams in the league and they are playing like it. There are a lot of positives and its clear the team has a lot of talent, but they're still inexperienced and inconsistent.
  22. Only if those same Dolphin fans are booing as time runs out on the clock.
  23. If anything, they needed to get him a few more passes in the first half. I don't think he had enough attempts to get into any kind of rhythm. But with 11:00 left to go in the game, there's no reason to pass unless the Dolphins score a quick TD.
  24. Losman is really only 1/3. He's had three throwaways.
  25. Damn nice INT by Crowell.
