because it's the first time this has happened in the history of the NFL. It's newsworthy today, hopefully tomorrow these types of things won't need to be newsworthy, but that's where we are right now. If this is the worst thing to come out of this, I guess that's progress in itself. Also, the NFL is actively trying to have a positive impact on society, whatever the motivation, it's a good thing. Baby steps are ok too. We don't need perfection, just progress. It's not always clean.

Anyone got Pittsburgh on their mind yet?

We didn't lose that often on the road either. We won because of the players, not the fans. -

We lost 4 games at home with fans last season, not much of an advantage. 4-1 this season, fans are nice but not necessary. -
Yes, a bit. If you dismiss 40% of his punts inside the 20 because of not many punts, not sure you can say he's inconsistent either. I can't really think of any real bad kick besides this 12 yarder

how often do other punters stick it inside the 5?
-
40% of his kicks this season were inside the 20. Doesn't anybody check The Google before commenting on easily accessible stats?
-
out of 25 punts, 10 inside the 20, 4 touchbacks. I think we may have a problem with the definition of 'never' and 'always'. 4 touch backs all season. Which games are you watching?

how many really short kicks has he had this season? his average is about 50 yards per kick, 40% of his punts have been inside the 20. He's having a pretty solid season. BTW- his 12 yard punt didn't make it tough on the coverage team. They didn't have to do much of anything. Do you have an issue with 70 yard punts as well? He flipped the field in the Tennessee game with a long punt.

Two huge penalties killed the Bills

I don't see why not, but I really don't know. Can't recall ever seeing it done. That's what bothered me, those plays were let go most of the season, why call them today? I guess I don't understand why a team loses the right to decline a penalty. Need to do some research on this one. -

it was unnecessary , play was basically over and Knox grazed the guy going after singletary. Didn't effect the play. -

Could we have declined the offside penalty? Force Arizona to take the illegal block which would be 10 yards from the spot of the foul. -

that was a weak call. You can call one every play but many of them would be bad calls. -
a few thoughts about the cardinals game, in no particular order

i think there were 2 seconds on the play clock when we called timeout. -

i normally don't read the game day thread. Bills have a lot of ridiculous fans.
