I think fans try to find things to make them feel more confident about the game, even if they don't really think them out that much. A four hour plane ride,emotional letdown, looking past this game, the temperature, rain, fans..... usually the better team wins. But I think it's silly to put so much stock in these other factors. Do they have an impact on the game? maybe, but not for sure. By this logic will the Bills lose when traveling to nice weather climates since Buffalo's weather sucks most of the time. Will the Bills be distracted with the Miami nightlife since Dave and Busters closes at 9pm in Buffalo????And if the Bills win Sunday, did we win because of other factors other than that we played better or are a good football team?

it's a 5 hour flight on Southwest, charter would be about the same. it's usually pretty brown here in the summer. It's plush green landscapes with wildflowers all over the place. Never seen anything like it in 15 years out here.

I bet their arms will be tired. I thank you! It's called climate change. I live in Phoenix, we usually get a couple inches of rain a year. We have had about 3 storms in the last month that were 2-4 inches each time. It's crazy.

I know you are being a bit sarcastic, but it's really quite simple like you say. It's amazing to me how many people get caught up in things that really don't make too much sense. The travel across country, like the players are going to be so tired that won't play well, or the crowd , like that will make Gates drop the ball? I think people try to convince themselves on ways the Bills might win just to sleep easier. But people sound so stupid sometimes.

Hard to believe that didn't make all the difference in the game.

I understand what is meant by game manager but it makes no sense. No player is asked to win games by themselves. No QB wants to make mistakes and all QB's want to make the right throws. Some are better at it than others.Manuel is expected to make every throw he attempts. We haven't had the need to air it out yet, but when it happens he will be expected to do more than he is now. We do have a style of team that doesn't need a QB throwing 400 yards. We rely on our running game and our defense. That's how championships are won. Think Phil Simms when you see Manuel.

This team is starting to remind me of a Steelers or Giants(under Parcels) type of team. Strong emphasis on running, the Steelers always had tremendous depth at running back in recent Super Bowl years, strong defense, hard hitting. One other big similarity is very few mistakes. I always felt those teams outlasted their opponents quite often. I see the same potential here. This team is built to play tough late in the season.

I thought it should have been a fumble, didn't have control of the ball when it hit the pylon. Should have been a touchback, but we got lucky. Ref in studio Mike Carey questioned it as well, but didn't seem to want to criticize the on field officials.

I'm sorry, but this makes no sense. This is like the argument saying that if you take away the 80 yard TD run, our rushing game wasn't that great. You try to create turnovers because they do help you win. Yes, if you lose the turnover battle and yards become TD's you may lose. There are many factors that go into a victory, that's just one of them.The overall thought of not getting too caught up in the victory makes sense, but don't discount how they got the victory.

They may subscribe to some sort of pay TV, but how many households buy the NFL Ticket - my point was , what if the only way you can watch any games in the future would be exclusively through NFL Ticket at $300 per year, or whatever they want to charge in the future. Not saying this will likely happen, but just wondering.
