  1. I'm gonna guess a lot of teams. I can't imagine they're all excited about trading Clowney for Frank Gore.
  2. Not sure anything in the NFL would be easy to teach. The guy has never played before.
  3. Still don't know if Wade could do all the things required of a back. He's strong and fast, that's about all we know.
  4. I think it's shocking because we are so used to athletes sacrificing their bodies and accepting that they deal with pain the rest of their shortened lifespan. I think we'll see more of this. He has more money than he'll ever need. He's having his first child. Who wouldn't want to live pain free and enjoy your family? Even with a very good team around him, he has yet another injury that would have likely kept him out of games this season. It must be very frustrating. It's been four years of this injury-pain rehab cycle, I can't live the life I want to live moving forward ... I feel quite exhausted and quite tired," "I've been stuck in this process. I haven't been able to live the life I want to live. Taken the joy out of this game and after 2016 when I played in pain and was unable to regularly practice, Sounds like a combination - the injuries have taken away his desire to play.
  5. You're wrong again - 9 full seasons. 1957-1965. His injuries are the reason he's retiring now, so how can you say he could've played until 40 despite injuries. And describing them as nagging is wrong, unless you consider peeing blood to be 'nagging'. Physical toll on Andrew Luck through 6 NFL seasons: » Torn cartilage in 2 ribs » partially torn abdomen » a lacerated kidney that left him peeing blood » at least 1 concussion » a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder » and this mysterious calf/ankle issue that led to this This is in only 6 seasons.
  6. Luck was about to start his 7th season. Both 29 years old. Brown was still an elite RB at the top of his game. Luck's body was beat up. No way Brown's days were numbered based on how he was playing. If anyone, obviously, Luck's days were numbered because of the many serious injuries he's had in his career. No way Luck would have lasted 12 more years at this rate.
  7. OJ is pissed. He drafted Luck today. Andrew Luck you couldn’t have shared that news before I drafted you an hour ago? #andrewluck @Colts https://www.thescore.com/s/11324408
  8. Jim Brown
  9. Sounds like he wouldn't be playing anytime soon anyway, hence the frustration with rehabbing. If he was healthy, he wouldn't be rehabbing.
  10. Everyone was so excited about the Oline all offseason, too bad they had to start to play games. He's been that way his whole career, Beane knew that when he signed him. Probably why it was such a minor contract. I think he's staying, if healthy.
  11. based on what Foster did last year should go towards earning a spot. Just like John Brown will be starting based on what he has done in the past, not in this preseason.
  12. That might be a good idea, but also keep in mind, he's a 7 year veteran playing against a bunch of players that might not even be in the NFL come next week, he should look good.
  13. Although the team brought in many new faces on the line, besides Morse, they didn't feel any of them worthy of any type of financial or time commitment. That should tell you something about their expectations with those players. A lot of good, maybe unexpected, things needs to happen with that line for it to be effective.
  14. So many NFL QB's make that throw, every single season.
  15. I wouldn't sleep on Robby Anderson , he's a huge big play threat. Deep and short, but mostly downfield.
  16. Do you understand what that cliche means?
  17. You know if teams put 9 men in the box, 1 of the 3 WR will probably be uncovered.
  18. I'm guessing you're a 'glass is half full' kind of guy. ?
  19. not really, but whatever.
  20. He's an amazing talent, but a 1st, plus an very expensive contract to go with a line that still isn't so good. Don't think it makes sense. Any high picks or money the Bills spend should be on the OLine if anywhere.
  21. I not sure that will help.
  22. Often the Pro Bowl doesn't mean much, but if the entire secondary of one team makes it, and that team is a champion, they're probably pretty good. To this day, still bothers me about his injury and what could have been.
  23. both are long shots. Negligible upside. Wade has shown a couple great plays, but not sure those translate into the regular season in real game situations with starters and such.
