  1. As The Dean said, BJ may make fewer bonehead plays. Once cowfans get over the initial shock, they may realize that BJ has done nothing but play well as a backup. He's steady, makes good decisions, and usually minimizes mistakes - kinda the anti-Romo. I could easily see him keeping the Cowboys right on pace.
  2. Although I do agree that this is our division to lose at this point, I'm not so sure it's going to be an easy win. Yes, the Jets have struggled with bad teams, but they've beaten them pretty well in the end. By no means will a game against the Jets be easy. The Fins are flawed and getting by with some gimmicky wildcat offense, but they're surprisingly competitive. And more worrisome is they have Chadwick, whom excels at precisely what the Bills have shown they can't even recognize let alone stop - quick slant passes. The Pats*, perhaps the poorest of the bunch, but they've shown they can still play solid football if a team lets them. So, yes, the next month will tell us quite a bit. But, I don't see any of the next four games as being easy in any way. It all gets started next week with a team that is loaded with talent and just shredded the Pats*. As stated in another thread, this week's game is huge. It can give us the confidence and the momentum to roll through our division. Let's hope the Bills used the extra week to figure out what they need to figure out.
  3. Giants and Titans remain undefeated, so... ya kinda have to put them at the top of the heap for at least another week. *Assuming the Giants win tomorrow.
  4. Exactly. Gotta love it. We're now all alone in first place and even have a game to give - in mid October no less. I think I'll head on over to nfl.com just to see the division standings.
  5. There does seem to be alot of people that have a hard time admitting they were wrong. No worries with me. I'm just more happy that the Bills have, indeed, won the bye week.
  6. I sure hope Whitner and Co. are watching this #83 fella. Wow.
  7. Maybe he means we're trading Jackson for Herschel?
  8. OMG... Really!?!?!
  9. Kinda what I'm thinking... has Bryan done anything on special teams to make anyone say that any scrub couldn't replace him? We know he's absolutely got no game on defense.
  10. Point made. Point accepted. I'd like to see Denver lose too.
  11. That's what I was thinking. This goes down in the "NFL wants Dallas to win today so they Refs look anywhere but at Dallas and makes blatantly bad call after another" category.
  12. I agree! And going against that soft Arizona defense he should have put up 40 points easily.
  13. If only JP could have played half as good as Romo is, we would have won.
  14. Exactly. Knocks Denver down a game, plus gives us a tougher strength of schedule.
  15. Only high-motored white guys get tired out. Plus I'm pretty sure JP is an energy vortex.
  16. How they saw that as anything but a fumble is unbelievable. I mean completely unbelievable.
  17. Cards get screwed ala Den/SD game. Clearly get Romo and he fumbles; ref says forward progress (?) and blows play dead.
  18. Sounds like JP is finally getting his act together.
  19. And Houston not knowing that they can go for 2 point conversions. ???
  20. I'd agree. But, the fins and Jets aren't looking any where near as bad as I keep hoping they will. Granted they're playing bad teams the last couple of weeks. We could be in a really tight division if all 3 win today.
  21. I can't believe JP keeps getting beat by that wildcat! Trade him for a loaf of bread now! But, yeah, in my mind... if the Jets, Fins, and Pats* all lose today, the Bills gain a win on all 3 without having to do anything. They all have 2 loses, we have 1. It'd be great to for them to all have 3 going into next week. So, if they all lose - we win. Houston just ran a punt back; 14-13 now.
  22. It would be great to see the Dolphins, Jets, and Pats* lose today. Perhaps alot to ask for. But as of now, the Jets and Fins are taking care of easy teams.
  23. Very interesting. I honestly didn't know that. I readily admit there are some things in life I have little or no knowledge of: tax code is one of them. Not that I worry alot about taxes - I just pay whatever the tax man tells me to pay. That does change the math quite a bit though.
  24. I think it's not a bad idea at all. He is a good player. Plus wee have guys like Whitner that could straighten him out. Not to mention, there's nothing outside of the occasional Applebee's for him to hang out at anyway. How much trouble can you get into at Applebees? If Cincy is looking to trade TJ, maybe they'd be willing to talk about trading Chris Henry as well. That would be a great pick up too.
  25. I would say it's the process. To be elected, it seems candidates try to make all of the people happy all of the time. The only way they can do that is to lie through their teeth and support ideas that they fundamentally don't agree with. If they don't they'll never win, because you can bet the other guy (or gal) will promise everything to everyone. So he'll sway voters his way with false promises. In many ways, I would say this is why the 3rd party candidates will never do well. They're too honest and don't try and make everyone happy. So what happens? They become marginalized. Perhaps it's a necessary evil. Perhaps its the problem with this country. But, like it or not, no one is getting elected unless they pander, adopt both more moderate and extremist views, and lie.
