  1. Yeah 4 yards, 0 yards - just details that disprove my argument. Can we forget them? I can live with that idea. Given the play call on the previous 3 plays however, we had little options that could surprise them. I agree, though, I was really hoping the 3rd down play was a PA fade to Hardy. If they had tried something like that on 2nd and or 3rd downs then a 4th down play seems a little less predictable.
  2. I think this thread would be the comments he was referring to.
  3. If we had the Dallas or the Pats* Offensive line, I would agree and think it a good shot of success. But, we had 3 shots, we gained 0 yards. If it were a little later in the game - say 3rd quarter; absolutely get the tie. But, with the entire game left to play, there were still plenty of scoring chances.
  4. Jauron says in his press conference today that Lynch was "dinged up" at the time. So he was not an option, at the time. That's why Jackson was in the game, nothing more nothing less. The question I have is why not try one fade to Evans or Hardy? Evans did a great job pulling in the pass last week. Hardy is the tall guy. Why not give one of them at least one shot out of those 3 plays? I don't have a problem with the FG. At the time, 1st quarter, there's all the time in the world. Take the easy points and regroup. Most coaches will take the 3pts at that point in the game, IMO.
  5. Love your sig line. And I agree. The Fins are a much better coached team than we would like to believe. I don't see them in the playoffs this year, but they're definitely a competitive team.
  6. I see your point. I just think those kind of statements and outbursts are best done "in-house" or at least they're usually done "in-house". So that's how I saw it Dennis Greenish, in that he stated it all in the PC rather than give the typical coachspeak.
  7. I think they've got their pitchforks in hand chasing Donte Whitner right about now.
  8. I've been saying it since about week 2. This stretch of games will be the barometer for our season's playoff aspirations. We needed to go 2-1, IMO, to stay on top the division. Anything less and it's not that we won't make the playoffs, necessarily. But, we will have a tough fight and likely playing for a wildcard spot, not the division. Well, we just lost our 1. On the good side, it was against the last placed Fins. On the bad, we now need to win the next 2. I think we can definitely do that. If we do... we're right back in the #1 spot with 7 games to go.
  9. It's actually kind of humorous if you take it the right way. I just read all the posts and think... wow, there's another guy I'm smarter than. TSW is a really good self help tool in that way.
  10. Nice to know the drinking doesn't end when the game is over. Rest up fellas, the sun will still shine tomorrow.
  11. Rivers is currently averaging 254.8 yards/game. He's thrown for abotu 2.5 TDs/game (19 total). Apparently, we held him to below average numbers. I'd call that doing ok against him - not allowing him to pass at will. Fundamentally, I agree... our pass defense leaves quite a bit to be desired. I just don't think using Rivers' game is the best representation of that.
  12. It seemed fairly trivial to me. My take was that Singletary was ripping him on the sideline about it and VD just kinda sat there with a "whatever" look on his face. Singletary walked away, then came back a few minutes later and said something to the effect of with that attitude he would do the team the best good in the showers.
  13. I have to completely agree. I'm not sure exactly what we're missing, but it's amazing how average they look.
  14. Good idea! That would teach the whole team a lesson. I say let's bench the whole team next week.
  15. I tend to agree with you. But... I'm not so sure. I think he's got a high probability of busting. Today's players don't seem to respond to the tough Coaches. I couldn't help but think he sounded a little Dennis Greenish to me. It'll be be interesting to see how the team responds. In his first game he benched the starting QB and sent his starting TE to the showers. Maybe the team has a serious discipline problem. I don't know. But he definitely made it clear as to who's calling the shots now.
  16. Wow. Kicked Vernon Davis out of the game. Then says, I'd rather play with 10 guys on the field than have someone on the field that doesn't play for the team.
  17. Food poisoning the night before will help.
  18. Hoorayyyy Hamdan!
  19. Hey, get off my Dick! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
  20. I find it interesting that most people will readily state that the Bills will be anywhere from 10-6 to 13-3 at the end of the year. Yet, somehow they think the Bills can achieve that record without losing any games.
  21. Your last sentence was big, IMO and its not really been mentioned in the multitude of posts. Twice we stopped the Fins at about their 40 yard line and they punted! And both times their punter pinned us inside the 5. That was huge. Our special teams didn't help much today. Yes, we got a blocked FG, but the poor field position and the safety more than cancel that out, IMO.
  22. Not that our pass defense was good today, but Rivers had his worst game of the season, if I recall correctly. 2 of the last 3 games we got shredded would be more accurate.
  23. You call Lynch a dick for being happy after he made an astoundingly good touchdown run and wonder why I call you the comment a little extreme? Yes, the Bills blew it today, but to say they're dicks and acting cocky is a little much IMO.
  24. Well, I'd say that's a little extreme.
