  1. As I recall (admitting that my memory gets worse all the time) there was a lot of attention from the media about CJ playing WR, when the injury situation got bad at the position...and CJ even practiced at the position during the week...but come game-day, not much came from it. What I remember most vividly, when they did throw to him from the position, was him getting open, deep, but Fitz wildly overthrowing him...more a case of too high, than too far. I like Fitzpatrick, so I don't mean this to be a slam on him. I think Spiller has shown some ability catching passes out of the backfield, and I would love to see them work a little more on him as a WR...he just has too much speed to waste. I realize, catching passes out of the backfield is a little different than going deep...but I think it could work. I am trusting, too, that Fitzpatrick and the coaches will make a concerted effort to improve his accuracy issues on deep throws.
  2. Great move, as far as I am concerned. I see a lot (too much sometimes) of Dallas Cowboys football, and I always thought Choice didn't get a real shot with the Cowboys...injuries hurt him some, but I liked what I saw of him in Buffalo last year too...no problem with Gailey having one of his guys in there.
  3. The Rangers guys aren't too bad...kind of dull, but pretty fair.
  4. Same situation, 1000 to 1, Romeny would have screwed it up, and given a sign saying "my dog is blind"... btw- it was at Prince George College, not a school for the deaf.
  5. You gotta keep up with current events: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/21/deaf-student-obama-sign-language_n_1369118.html?ref=mostpopular
  6. I agree with you...but you realize, if your screen name was "Dave In Norfolk", or "...lilybob" or, dare I say "Buftex", you would be getting the crap kicked out of you here, for posting something so reasonable?
  7. Crazy like a FOX?
  8. I tout Obama over Romney as well! Honestly, when the whole GOP race started, I thought Santorum would be amongst the very first to drop out...crazy race.
  9. We find something to agree on!
  10. Wow, I was just going to post this: http://www.wgr550.com/pages/9034669.php?pid=227859
  11. The only pre-season game I saw last year, was the one against the Jags. As I recall, Thigpen moved the ball pretty well, though the scrubs did have difficulty scoring...I am not even arguing that Thigpen is great, I am just always amazed when there seems to be this collective conscensous about certain players, that is based on almost nothing...I seriously will lose no sleep, knowing that Tyler Thigpen is one broken bone away from being the starting QB for the Bills, knowing that we could have had DREW STANTON!!!!! Not that it is necessarily relative, but I remember a lot of Bills fans thought Frank Reich was awful, and then they found out he wasn't so bad after all...
  12. What exactly is the opinion that Drew Stanton is better than Tyler Thigpen based on? http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/10487/drew-stanton http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/10660/tyler-thigpen They look pretty even to me...only difference being, Thigpen had one pretty productive year, in the offense of our head coach...but yeah, you guys are right...we should sign Stanton, cuz, he isn't Thigpen...Gailey prefers a more mobile guy...Thigpen is more mobile than Stanton...
  13. Fitz had his problems down the stretch, to be sure...but I think he is the kind of guy who can, and will, get better. He may never have the greatest arm strength, or be as accurate as we would like, but I have seen (in a Bills uniform no less) far worse QB's in the NFL.
  14. Hey, I am from the opposite end of the political spectrum as KD, but I can tell you, he is hardly a "d bag"...
  15. That doesn't work either...if you wait for them to accomplish something, then you say "no" cuz you don't want the distraction, now that you are finally on to something...if you suck so bad, there is no hope, you say "yes", cuz your team needs some buzz...all that in mind, it seems the safe bet is "just say no to HBO"! BTW- I could see the Broncos doing this...Manning, Elway...lots of interesting training camps to choose from, this year.
  16. And he is so much better than Tyler Thigpen?
  17. Tyler Thigpen seems to be the Bills "red-meat" for the haters in 2012.
  18. Yes, I know what the context was. He was asked if he was concerned that his candidate (Romney) may have staked himself "too far right" to win a general election, and Fehrnstrom said that the campaign was like an Etch A-sketch...you can just shake it up when the general election starts, and start with a clean slate...I am not saying it is a big deal (though Santorum and Gingrich seem to be having fun with it), but it was, IMO, an incredibly cynical commentary on our political system...and not one I would necessarily want associated with my candidate of choice. I think it was this attitude that made many (self included) lose a tad of respect for John McCain.
  19. Agree with both of you...it was odd to hear Fehrnstrom so blatantly use that analogy for his guy.
  20. Are all of those Thursday night games going to be on the NFL Network?
  21. You know, on the surface, I would agree with you...but when you really think about it, I think Chan and Buddy are both kind of hams, in their own, "serious football men" kind of way...Gailey is always, seemingly, very comfortable and up-front in dealing with the media, and Buddy is a walking quote machine, with a bigger than life personality...they are actually kind of naturals for this kind of thing. Not saying that I want it...but I wouldn't miss a second if they did it.
  22. I will watch this show, no matter which team is feautred. That said, having watched all the seasons, I generally have a negative opinion of the team that is featured... no Bills please!
  23. Chef, your head would have exploded...over the weekend, I saw some chick on a bike, texting, while running a red light, at a very busy city intersection...riding on the wrong side of the street...a driver slammed on his breaks, another car almost ran into the back of him... funniest thing was, she gets to the sidewalk, finishes texting her last few characters, and then screams "!@#$" at the driver, who was well on his way by then...a "lib-tard" no doubt!
  24. No fair, O'Reilly was trying to give him one of those "gotcha' questions"
  25. Well, by that logic, how about Bills vs Mularkey's Jaguars. It would kill two birds with one stone, as they could show two small market teams with one broadcast, and get them out of the way...if Tebow ends up in Jacksonville?
