  1. The Bills won't automatically be better with a new owner, but I suspect that is their best chance to end this downward spiral. Not wanting to heap on Mr Wilson, but obviously, there is no real accountability with this franchise right now. The last truly good move that Mr Wilson made was hiring somebody to run the franchise for him...his choice was Tom Donohoe. I know sentiments are strongly against TD in "Bills-Nation", but I would guess that this franchise was much closer to success than they have been since he was canned. Mr Wilson had the right idea in hiring TD, maybe just picked the wrong guy. However you feel about TD, you can bet he wouldn't have sat on his hands this long and watched this team just stink the gym up week after week. This team needs an infusion of fresh minds to call the shots. If Mr Wilson is around a lot longer (again, not wishing anything bad toward him) I wish to hell he would hand the GM position over to Doug Whaley, if nothing else. Somebody that Mr Wilson (presumably, maybe not) already knows. This isn't to say that Buddy Nix hasn't given it a great effort, but it just isn't working. If you are going to model yourself after another NFL frahchise, why not the Steelers, instead of the perenial disappointing Chargers? Whaley is young, honed his craft with one of the truly great NFL franchises, give him a shot. Let him hire a coach. Let him choose our franchise QB. The franchise can't afford to stay married, for even another seaosn, to something that isn't working. They will likely have a hight draft choice (again!) next year...don't waste it. Don't wast guys like Dareus, Gilmore and Spiller by steeping them in a losing culture like the Bills have been mired in, for far too long.
  2. Romney maintains momentum... not sure what the viewing numbers were for this debate, but I suspect they were significantly lower than the first...where Romney got his mojo.
  3. If you think this franchise is horrible right now (I think most here do) why would you want these guys picking your QB of the future...they would be the ones to pick Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning. The reality is, our owner has a lot less time to own this team..only when the franchise swithches hands to another owner (in Buffalo or somewhere else) would I care about getting our franchise QB, right now.
  4. No, its' not that....just read the thread if you don't want to watch the debate. You forget, I have been around here for a while, so I know your style... If you want to know, just look at OC's posts in this thread, if nothing else. He, and many Republican talking heads last night, were proclaiming this debate a victory for Romney, becasue he took the tact of not backing up anything he said previously, or reversing things he said just a few weeks ago. If somebody had no idea what is going on, Romney looked alright. If you have been following his campaign throughout the GOP primaries, it is very clear that this guy has either no idea what he is talking about, (employing the previously failed John McCain strategy of "I'll say whatever people want to hear"), or he is intentionally stonewalling, because he has no real foreign policy. I think Romney is pretty smart, so I assume he is using the later approach...it is as cynical an approach to campaigning as one could have...but it may prove to be, ultimately, successful.
  5. If you didn't care enough to watch, you are obviously just here to troll for an argument....watch it yourself!
  6. Of course, over the next two weeks there is going to be lots of money spent to point out that Romney has changed his foreign policy stance on numerous issues over just the course of these three debates. I suspect, this will have been the least watched of the three debates. That said, Romney scored a crucial victory in the first debate...anything said in these last two debates is simply appeasing the respective base of the candidates. Romney very will may win this election, and you should be proud. By lying...you, who shrills on about leadership, yadda, yadda should be so proud!
  7. Whose arguing? We are all just making observations...except OC...nobody knows what his point is!
  8. Or, maybe not necessarily "not having a foreign policy", just not being particularly committed to one. Romney, overall, seems to have agreed with nearly everything Obama is doing...tonight.
  9. That seems to be the Republican spin...they are hailing Romney's ability to switch positions at any turn... FWIW: CBS poll says Obama 53%...Romney 23%...24% no clear winner.
  10. Apologies...I guess I did not hear that....
  11. I can understand that many don't want to see Obama re-elected, but if you can't see how all-over the place and inconsistent on some very vital issues is simply being partisan. There is nothing honest about the campaign that Romney is running. He may be a smart guy, but he is absolutely full of crap. Really...I thought Romney looked really uncomfortable, especially compared with the first two debates. He had that sort of beady-eyed rodent look... also think Obama was getting frustrated, because Romney is continually denying his own past positions.
  12. FWIW- I have MSNBC on...I didn't hear anyone call Romney (or anyone for that matter) call anyone a "jackass". I could be wrong...I don't hear as fast as I used to. Maybe B-Mam was thinking it himself? Romney's flip-flopping now being hailed as "effective" by one of his supporters...silly season indeed.
  13. Yes, I don't think this is going to change much of anything.... Romney classic... he was in over his head on this one.
  14. Romney, adeptly contradicting himself on nearly everything....he is masterful at this manuver. Unless he was agreeing with the president, to avoid having an opinion.
  15. And Donald Trump and Sarah Palin would have a new reason to exist.
  16. Chans the man!
  17. Just what Buffalo needs....a taffy-ass football team to compliment their taffy-ass hockey team.
  18. Don't know if it is spot on..but funny as hell!
  19. Who was that watching Carol (?) give the one-eyed zombie chick a C-section?
  20. Holy ****...that would be funny... Save us Kevin Costner!
  21. Bills being investigated for applying insane amounts of stinkum!
  22. Right, Fitz played about as well as he can today....and it isn't good enough to beat the Titans, with a defense that pretty pitiful. I think everyone likes Fitz, but to notion that he isn't a major liability that could hurt them at any time was disproved today. All he had to do was be a game manager for the last 10 minutes or so, and his team wins...instead, he made the worst mistake he could possibly make at that point. A good QB doesn't make that mistake. The final drive only made it worse... Fitz may be the best QB on our roster, so I suspect he plays the rest of the season...but he cannot be the starting QB of this team going in to next season.
  23. We really should be used to this now... what I hate, this team doesn't even piss me off anymore...they are what they are, and that ain't good. Will still watch every week... if this loss did anything for me, it helped me to decide not to bother wasting the time, and my one day off, driving to Houston to see them in a few weeks. I will sit at home and watch, rooting for them to win....but that is it.
  24. "He's dead Jim..err Simon"
  25. I agree, the whole "binders full of women" thing is really silly...the words...as if Romney somehow accidentally admitted to the world he was a serial killer. What is more puzzling about the "binders full of women" thing, is not those words on their own, but the question being answered when they came up. Romney made it sound as though he had never met a competent woman, and he and his staff had to dig for them... but it sounds as though he appointed a many women (as many, or more, than anyone in his position at the time) under political pressure from women's interest groups. But, that was back in his liberal leaning Republican days...they passed weeks ago! The "optimal" thing is stupid too. As much as you loathe Obama, I am sure, if you saw the complete interview, and were being fair minded, you would agree that much is being made about nothing here. I can't wait for the election to be over....whatever happens...we need to move beyond all this silliness... it is more depressing than anything. And, I will agree, Dems have been every bit as guilty throughout this campaign. It's all just juvenile.
