  1. All of these mock drafts are the most excitement us Bills fans get after November. Maybe this year we will still be in the running for a playoff spot. Now that would be exciting.
  2. All we can do is hope all the pieces fit together where Pettine left off. When Pettine left, I was for surely thinking doom and gloom, I wasn't even thinking about Schwartz. Hopefully he can get it done.
  3. Past experience shows that they will go after a mid round pick and start that individual. Byrd is as good as gone or they would have him pinned down already. Also, referring back to the beginning of this thread, anyone who claims they have no hidden agenda, usually 99% of the time has a hidden agenda.
  4. Pettines aggressive defensive schemes needed to be followed up by someone equally aggressive. Our defense was geared toward pressuring the QB. Hopefully Schwartz will pick up where Pettine left off, and maybe improve based on where the defense struggled last season. It would have been interesting to see what Pettines defense looked like in 2014 though.
  5. He is young, but for sure he will have his day in the sun and surf, soon enough.
  6. I just think that we have not been in the playoffs for a RECORD 14 seasons. I'm sorry but when a team holds a record like that, it is simply an embarrassment. If we had been a consistent playoff team, and maybe were only missing 2-3 key positions, and would for surely make the playoffs if those positions were addressed, then absolutely, trade down. As far as last year, trading down to get EJ, based on what we have seen, Manuel maybe made of glass. Kiko was a huge pickup, but I still feel we could have made a much better choice with our original number 1 pick. Our QB situation this past season was a debacle at best. I will stand by my thoughts that EJ was drafted just to fulfill Buddys promise that he would draft a QB. Better thought process for surely could have been used to draft a franchise QB when there was a much stronger class to choose from. So disagree with me if you wish, but IMO the Bills need to use the 9th pick wisely, unless they can find a dance partner that can give them two first round picks for trading down.
  7. If he can beat the Pats, steal Bradys wife, and make Billicheat want to quit NE to come to Buffalo just to coach him ..... I'm all for it. Sign him up.
  8. Oh great, Western New York's skeletons are slowly emerging from the closets.
  9. It is clear to me that you have put a lot of time and thought into to this post. Let's hope that the FO weigh the options carefully in this draft. On a personal note, I believe that trading down is for teams that can afford to trade down. Right now, the Bills can't afford to.
  10. Brady - this guy does more with less year after year. Makes me want to throw up to say that. Elway - he would never give up. Probably the biggest gamer of all time. Never say die attitude was the best way to describe it. Montana - this is just a no brainer when it comes to a top 5 QB thread. McMahon - he was known to be mouthy, but what a warrior attitude. The guy would not quit. He would have multiple rings if not for the injury. Brees - would improve the bleakest teams situation no matter what kind of talent surrounds him. Doesn't choke, and never is off his game.
  11. That would be the ultimate turd in the punch bowl scenario if Pettine left Buffalo. Just when I thought we had a legitimate chance of improving our dismal playoff outlook. It figures just when I thought I was waking up from this 14 year nightmare, that Cleveland would be right there to poke me in the eyes.
  12. After this past disappointing season, maybe we should take a QB every round, just for safety sake. That way we won't have to archive every friggin free agent QB to hit the unemployment line when two or three of our regulars are hurt. At least all of them will be somewhat familiar with our system when they start their first game.
  13. IMO in order of availability, Manziel, Bortles, McCarron, then possibly Bridgewater. I just don't have that gut feeling on the others. If I'm wrong, I guess that's why the Bills aren't knocking on my door for my insightful draft knowledge.
  14. Fitz was a smart QB, it's just to bad he had a 10 cent noodle for an arm.
  15. He does fairly well as games progress, but seems to struggle at clutch times near the end. I'm not sure if he is just trying to hard or if he can't handle the immense pressure all of the team must feel. I am hopeful that the FO, and coaching staff can make proper assessments with all of their free time in another disappointing offseason, to ensure that us steadfast Bills fans have something to look forward to next January. I am thinking a first round bye would be a nice way to forget the pain of the last 14 years. Go Bills.
  16. A more aggressive offensive coordinator, a franchise qb, a much better o-line, and at least a deep run in the playoffs.
  17. I am disappointed because in 1 start, an undrafted rookie put up more numbers than our 1st rounder has in 2 starts.
  18. IMO Doug Marrone is taking the right steps to ensure this team remains a winner after it gets out of this slump. Putting the Championship banners up as a reminder to new players as to how this team and this city do matter and had pride. It is attainable once again with hard work an unselfish acts of sportsmanship. I Billieve that we are on the cusp. Sure I was disappointed when we were eliminated from playoff hopes, but really, when I look back on it, all new coaches, multiple QB's, the threat of the team being moved, a whole new system in place...... we are right there. Maybe a few upgrades in a few different positions, and the playoffs will return to us.
  19. The guy bleeds Buffalo Red, White, and Blue. Hell yes he belongs on the Wall.
  20. If no one shows up by halftime, we'll move down towards the field.
  21. my thought exactly. Maybe a couple 5th or 6th round picks??? Byrd might be our only trade value player right now. I could see some team giving up some value for him.
  22. Smith definitely would have been an impact player for us, and may have been the difference in competing for a playoff spot instead of wrecking other teams playoff chances, while looking up from the basement again.
