  1. We're talking about HERE and NOW fool. I can't control what was done hundreds and thousands of years ago. Show me where Christians today are doing what you suggested. Typical of the blame America first crowd...
  2. God Bless our brave men and women. They are giving their blood and lives for freedom while pieces of stevestojan like Petrino in Albany sit back and criticize them, questioning their bravery... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: PIA
  3. Hey Petrino :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: you spineless jellyfish. As for VaBledsoefan double :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: ...you should know better, Billy Badass...nice of you to pass judgement on someone who you have no f-in clue about. FTR, I don't perceive you as arrogant, just an idiot. Keep weakening our country... In the future, please consider "Lead, Follow or STFU!"
  4. Happy Birthday Brothers! May God continue to look favorably upon our beloved Corps! I celebrate an additional birthday today...that of my son Matthew, born on Nov 10th. Whadda ya think he's going to be when he grows up? To those engaged in battle...Semper Fi and Godspeed!
  5. Maybe he was the despondant Dimocrat who wrongly performed fellatio on the end of a gun at ground zero
  6. I've got to tell you a funny story...the day after the election, while I was driving home from work I spotted a VW bug with a JK/JE sticker and as I passed I gave a quick honk and gave the hippie looking woman driver a thumbs up (you know, like the thumbkin symbol John Edwards hands have permanently atrophied into). As I made eye contact and smiled at her, her face twisted into a shriveled rage and although I'm no lip reader, I believed she said "!@#$ you!!!!" I could not contain my laughter and continued on home with a smile. It was a great day to be an American!
  7. 20 years in the Navy and you had to ask? Do you think he got all those degrees he has by actually studying? Look at his sentence structure...I think it's pretty evident.
  8. The whole country has gone right...where have you been?
  9. ...right next to my "No war for oil" sticker...
  10. Nice Buck! You've got me pumped for the gun season. I head back East on the 18th just in time to make the shotgun opener. Eleven days of hanging out with the fellas and recharging the batteries! That's an interesting looking rack, had it gone another year or two it looks like it would have been palmated.
  11. Happy Birthday to you VA...Semper Fidelis brother!
  12. I attanded my unit's Marine Corps Ball last night. During the ceremony we remembered the warriors preparing to get it on. It was a sobering moment. Here we were imbibing and enjoying the evening while our brothers were preparing for the fight of their life. I also have some very good friends there. For those of you who are thoughtful enough to keep our men in your prayers, please pray for divine wisdom for LtCol. Pat Malay. He is the CO of 3/5, and is from Buffalo. This man is a true professional and one man who I wouldn't want to meet in an alley. He is sure to lose many men, but if anyone can bring 'em all back alive, he can. I could tell you stories all day long about my experience with him as my Battalion XO, but suffice to say, there's no one I'd rather go into battle with. His Marines feel the same way about him. Those !@#$ing Iraqi's have no idea of the hell that is about to rain down on them... Semper Fi brothers and Godspeed.
  13. Jesus said to love the sinner, not the sin. Why wouldn't Jesus want the leaders of the world following Gods principles? I see no harm in that at all.
  14. I agree with your assessment of organized religion. Just as we must be very watchful of our government, believers must be watchful of their religious leaders. After all, they are only human, like us. My rebelious spirit causes me to constantly question my faith and those in leadership positions in my church. To give you some background, I was raised catholic, but with elbowing from my wife have become a believer and attend a Baptist church consisting of approximately 50 members. If I can ever become 1/2 the person many of the members of my church are I'll be satisfied. Just two weeks ago we had a woman of meager income purchase and give a two year old car to another woman who attends our church. The woman who was the recipient of the car is a widow with a 10 year old son and back problems so severe she can't work. We have elderly members of our church who are shut-in's and one genmtleman is in need of dialysis three times a week. Well Debbie (the recipient of the car) uses her gift to shuttle the above mentioned gentleman to his dialysis. I could go on and on. The heart of some of these people amaze me. I am a follower of Christ. I am FAR from being where I want to be, but fully recognize the value of a community of organized believers. That is why I don't understand when posters demonize Believers as some sort of wackos. There are some who don't walk the walk, but my experience has been much different.
  15. Just read that Chirac is leaving town just in time to miss Iraqi Prime Minister Alawi. BUT- he found the time to visit his old terrorist buddy Arafat today. Should we really consider this country to be our ally? What a friggin joke!
  16. No stevestojan! I thought the quote about moving to Europe was the best...Buh-bye
  17. Hey Tom, FWIW, for someone who hasn't served you do seem to have a vary good grasp of how the military functions...Definately more insightful than some around here who have and shall remain nameless.
  18. Terrorism is a tactic. Can we win a war against a tactic? No, we probably can't. The thing about terrorism as a tactic, as most of you clearly understand is that it is an effective way for a small number of people to inflict damage against a larger foe that they wouldn't stand a chance against head to head. The problem is that our Empire is built on a house of cards that is based in trust in our government. Have any of you thought about how fragile our economy is? Look at what happened to the economy after 9/11. What would happen to our economy if a nuclear or biological device went off in one of our large cities. Well it certainly would impact our faith in the system. What if terrorists launched a cyber attack that was capable of crippling the internet and e-commerce for an extended period of time. I don't know if we can win a war against terrorism, but I do know that we'd better die trying.
  19. Intel huh? I actually had you pegged as a cook or a storekeeper. Hmmm As for me, 19 years and counting in the Corps as a Combat Engineer.
  20. FWIW, Central Texas College, and Park University, while I worked full time in the Marine Corps and raised a family.
  21. Apparently that they'll hand a degree out to anyone who is illiterate...
  22. Typical leftist stevestojan. Don't have an intellegent response, call someone a racist. I don't see you complaining about your Dimocrat buddy Robert 'KKK' Byrd... Wacko
  23. You couldn't be more wrong. Bad things do happen to good people, but the true measure of the person is how they deal with the adversity. Do they become a 'victim' or do they take their lumps and carry on? That which does not kill us make us stronger. My $.02
