The guy that brought up Dalton, got me to consider that it won't be too difficult to find another QB that can play as well as Brady did this past season. And Belichick could take Kirk Cousins, Andy Dalton-type guys to another level. I wonder if he would consider Cam Newton or Jameis Winston, both of them may be available. As long as Belichick is there, they will be good. Maybe not dominant, but good.

There's no way Belichick would agree to tank. NO WAY. And there is no reason they cannot be pretty damn good with another QB.

At first I balked at this suggestion, but now I think you may be right. They managed to win plenty of games with Brady playing pretty mediocre. Dalton has been mediocre, but with Belichick he would surely improve. They wouldn't have the "Brady Magic" to work with, but they would be a formidable team, that would still be a playoff team, if not a Super Bowl contender.
