  1. eh.. wouldn't say immoral on that count... immature more like. she threw a drink in his face first and was dripping with pineapple juice and vodka or whatever. should have let it go, obviously, but said he was "embarrassed" and tossed the drink on her back, and the [plastic, i think] containter came out of his hand. dumb. marijuana, yep, dumb.. but also claims he got tested 3 weeks in a row, accounting for the "multiple" failed tests that led to the suspension. possible. 29 tickets, but 9 for speeding. not that the rest are better.. "The majority of the tickets are for speeding—nine. He has also been cited for failure to pay tolls (five), operating a vehicle with improper window tinting (three), failure to stop/yield entering a highway, improper display of license plates and false identity of self to a law enforcement officer." anyways, yes.. it seems he IS quite dumb. dumber than i originally thought. hope someone warns him not to drive through Kenmore.
  2. such varied opinions of him make trading up,at the least, seem foolish. some guys from some scouting/draft publication were on wgr sunday morning and had him the 6th ranked QB, and 103rd best playeroverall. they could be wrong of course, but they are not alone... does not seem like the guy you give up 2 first rounders for. he just hasn't shown enough to be that sure about him.
  3. silly to consider take Glennon at 8. there will definitely be better guys left in the 2nd round, and probably the 3rd. rather have Tyler Wilson, Nassib, Manuel, Scott... any of them. i know there are comparisons to matt ryan, so maybe i'm wrong... but he lacks, to vary degrees, athleticism, poise, pocket presence, leadership, accuracy, and is built like a twig. he was bad in his bowl game, bad at the senior bowl... maybe in the 5th or 6th round for me. Granted I have not seen Dysert or Bray actually play, but i'd still take them over this guy who I have. I'd maybe take him over Landry Jones... that's about it.
  4. didn't say i didn't know about the injury or drug issues. i knew he went to IR, but i forgot that it was the dreaded achilles tear... and i wasn't talking about the drugs, i was talking about the "bottle throwing" incident at the niteclub. never bothered reading about that before. speaks to immaturity, but not a huge deal. he probably won't have that problem here at applebee's or dave & buster's.
  5. well, it's not exactly that... only if they cut him. it's 4 years, 14.25M if they don't. considering Davis' injury, i could see a similarly structured contract.
  6. he's no mike wallace, but i disagree he's not an exciting name. of the players we might have actually gone after he's near the top of my list (or was before reading more about the injury and legal troubles). if not for that, he might be a top 5 or 10 FA this year. the injury may even knock him out of the top 50, but it'd still be a pretty interesting/exciting "get" in my book.
  7. "Be thankful for it is impossible to worship God without thankfulness." - Landry Jones (twitter) i feel like that guy sitting with the little kids at the table for the at&t commercial, where he goes.. "mm, what?" at the end of the girl's werewolf spiel. i'll pass on this guy... he and Glennon are ones I want no part of. i mean come one.. his first pro day pass was a duck. said maybe it was nerves. can't wait to see how nervous he'll be in an NFL game.
  8. excellent idea. i know people say there is only 1 game every couple years it's a factor, but i still want to see what he's made of. and if we ever get a playoff game here, good chance weather is a factor. i say bring them all in today... Manuel, Wilson... snowball fight to see who's our champion!
  9. more inconsistent, but does not have the offensive scheme or weapons that Geno does either. Smith has maybe the best offensive weapon in the draft, plus another talented WR. plus Manuel has the size. i think if the Bills really were "convinced" as people like to say, that he's the guy... they would not be the only ones. and maybe this is the case. but Jags and Raiders would just take him then if it was that sure of a thing. More likely, everyone feels he "might" be the guy. So if there's a 40% chance he is, but a 35% Manuel is, and 30% chance Nassib is, and 25% Tyler Wilson is... hard to imagine they'd give up next year's first round pick just because they feel there is a SLIGHTLY better chance he is the guy. i have the feeling they have these guys ranked pretty closely, and may just wait until their 2nd pick. or at the very least, not trade up.
  10. we could pass AZ with a 3rd rounder maybe, but i don't even think they're the biggest threat. we don't have enough to pass Jax and Oak without giving up next year's #1 as well. anyone really want to do that? use up this and next year's #1's, when next year's #1 might get us someone as good or better than Geno anyway? i'd rather not.
  11. yes, i thought of that, but was under the [mistaken, apparently] impression you could not keep rolling it over year after year. you can, so i guess it make sense. i do think this year's FA pool was pretty impressive an deep however, so still not sure about saving it. seems like yer just more likely to waste more money on mediocre players if you acquire too much at once. we shall see. oh, and Brad Jones has been signed soooo... cross another off the list.
  12. if that was the case though, why designate Fitzpatrick's 7millions cap hit portion for NEXT year? why not take the hit this year if they did not plan on spending it anyway? only 2 possibilities i can think of. 1.) they do still plan on adding someone expensive; if not thru FA then a trade for someone like Flynn, or... 2.) just a built-in excuse not to spend more next season by saying they've got dead money hurting them.
  13. Fred Davis... Kellen Winslow... low risk, since i assume he'd be cheap. if recovered healthwise, he'd be quite an asset.
  14. Ha, yep. No multi-tasking it seems. Or maybe we're just going for that compensatory pick. i could see maybe Vance McDonald in the 4th if he fell that far. I'd say Dion Sims, but he doesn't play in the South, sooooo...
  15. Well "Kaepernick" was blue chip in all things physical and mental/intangible... they just didn't like the offense he came out of. Russell was blue chip in everything but height. Those 2 things knocked them out of first round, but not based on any true limitations to their ability, or rather ability. Not sure you can say the same about this year's crop as they have other issues... like accuracy, athleticism, leadership, decision-making, etc. Anyways, First: Geno, Barkley (but no trade ups.. both are iffy here for me as it is. Barkley pending on acceptable arm strength at pro day) 2nd: Manuel, Nassib 3rd: Wilson, Scott 4th: Bray, Dysert No Interest: L.Jones, Glennon
  16. hard to imagine taking one early, not with gaping holes at QB, WR, and OL.
  17. they generally aren't made public, until they are eventually leaked i believe. haven't heard any yet. when i heard both speak, Manuel actually seemed the more intelligent to me. Geno seemed very so-so with Mariucci on the whiteboard. of course Maurice Clarett seemed smarter than McGahee and look where that got him.
  18. they have lots of picks... they can't use them all so will probaby move up.... but we are not likely at to make a deal with them in the first. don't see that at all. it would take way too much and i don't see us moving down to 31. it's too big a difference and they'd probably have to give us their 1st and both 2nds to make it close. i see them maybe trading up with someone else, or later on trading back into the 2nd or something. but i doubt they give up 3 top picks for the 8th, AND i doubt we'd move that low... at that point we'd have no idea if any of the players they've been eyeing will be around. too drastic. not a match.
  19. one of 5 or 6.. depending on Barkley's pro day / arm strength. i include matt scott since he'd be a later pick and it means we'd probably take one high from the 2014 class.
  20. it's just accepted he would take over. it's more about moving on from Nix, whose problem may be that he's old and out of touch with some modern philosophies than Whaley is great. as you said, he hasn't done much we can point to. for all we know, HE could have pushed for some of the decisions we haven't liked. who knows? but it would be a change, thus hope.
  21. Can't say McCarron does anything for me yet. Plays behind an NFL calibre line, and never really has to win games with his arm. i need to see more. Boyd was the best looking QB in the bowl games i saw. Only 6'1" but looked damn good. Murray I wanted to hate. Lackjing in a couple big SEC games. Seemed like a poor man's Drew Brees without the fire or arm. Then I saw Georgia's bowl game and I could not deny the talent. He played lights out. Would probably take him over anyone in this draft. The sophomore's, who knows if they come out... especially if they thought they'd have to come here.
  22. yeah, don't like his hands. i'd go with Cook if he's not crazy $$, or maybe an OT like Bushrod as an upgrade over Pears. need to address that o-line pass pro if Levitre leaves.
  23. two players at 5 to 6 million each does not equal one at 8. so we aren't trading two for one. it's more like trading Levitre for Vazquez (if we even get him) and i wouldn't do that... Levitre plays more games. but at least we'd have an extra million we can use to overpay someone else. maybe more like Moore and Landry, but i kinda figure we're getting something like that anyway.
  24. who cares what he said about Fitz, other than it sounds like they will cut his salry or him. that news doesn't affect anything. what i don't like is "we're set at Tackle"... because a.) yer not and b.) OT is strong at the top of this draft, and it is not to the Bills advantage to let everyone know they aren't interested in taking one.
  25. at #8 you should get a difference maker. you might do well to get one at 23 or 25, but i like my odds better at 8. i think i'd stay there.
