It's way too early to rate Geno's longterm chances, but is he Sanchez v.2? Shows flashes of good stuff but is largely underwhelming and throws too many picks? I wonder if they're just gonna waste a few seasons finding out he's not the answer, just like they've done with Sanchez.

A tie would be nice, but let's get real here. Injuries or not, the Patriots are judged the best of the division until proved otherwise. Best to realistically hope for in the meantime is to finish second and grab a wildcard in the weak AFC. That means Miami and Jets losing often. Also, there's the fact that the Jets and their fans have this obnoxious cockiness that somehow rarely gets backed up with actual results on the field, so if Geno and co can be taken down a few pegs, I'm all for that.

If you're going to redesign the logo, REALLY redesign it. Get rid of the stripe altogether. I always thought the stripe was kinda stupid to begin with. Sure, the logo looks OK with it, but it's still an oddity. I also don't understand the love for the standing buffalo. It looks so passive. In fact, it looks like the buffalo is dead. There is nothing dynamic about it. If I was going to redesign, I'd take the Sabres' red black and white buffalo head as a starting point and work on that kind of concept. Or UB's logo for that matter.
