  1. This happens more often than you would think, usually when the Sabres play a somewhat rare Sunday game. There is usually some overlap between the two, though it depends obviously on when the Sabres game is scheduled and if the Bills game is early or late. In Big League cities this happens all the time.
  2. Not serious, though I suppose that tone could be read into my comments.
  3. I guarantee Jerry will not be called for any false starts tonight.
  4. That's a great, vibrant color and I'm not much of a green person. Those shoes look really cool actually. If I was a Jets fan and could buy those without cleats on them, I would!
  5. That photo is horrible, heavily doctored, and it is not particularly clear what this thing will actually look like. A true, metallic gold uni could be kind of cool. Then again, it could be heinous. We'll have to wait and see.
  6. I find that a lot of national sports reporting is not accurate. The local media/fans for each team are always the most knowledgable and tuned into the reality of day-to-day developments.
  7. If only the outcomes of NFL football games could be decided in this overly simplistic manner! We'd be a lock to win tonight! In reality, this is going to be a tough one.
  8. With all due respect, I'll take Rex Ryan's assessment over yours and he just said Revis is playing this year as well as he ever has, and that he remains the best Ryan has ever seen.
  9. Those are also some of the most annoying. Whenever possible I hit the mute button on the laptop (where I listen mostly) and that helps a lot.
  10. I still have nightmares with that annoying announcer's voice saying "Faaaaaan....10. Once again the codeword is FAAAAAAN....10." Or whatever. Radio ads are generally annoying as all hell, but those Fanduel ads are among the worst of all time. And that includes VW of Orchard Park's "German Comforteering" campaign that made me want to go strangle kittens.
  11. I have no interest in fantasy sports at all, but this and other forms of gambling should be legal.
  12. True. 56 pages and counting. Mostly about nothing.
  13. The funny thing is I think the all white thing is the worst of the 3, and yet the all white look seems to be quite popular around here.
  14. There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
  15. He's arguably better than that in my opinion but neither is really what you want. Smith will stay that way but Tannehill still has some potential for improvement.
  16. The Jets have the best run D in the league and a corner capable of single handedly removing Watkins from the game. The Jets also have Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm: advantage Bills. Will be close; I'll say the Bills win by less than a TD.
  17. Flacco is the least respected good QB in the NFL, just ahead of Eli Manning. Tannehill is not bad, but I think many Bills fans only see him against the Bills and assume he is horrible. I agree Flacco and Tannehill don't belong in the same category though.
  18. Pegula is a horrid speaker, and like Whaley, not particularly bright.
  19. I believe it was Monday October 12, 1981. Beat the Dolphins at home 31-21.
  20. Oh I agree with all that, but it applies to ALL games, not just this one. I realize this is a bit special with the Rex/Jets connection.
  21. Funny you mention that; I noticed his use of the word as well. He's not that bright.
  22. For a person with a position of that level, he is one of the worst speakers I have ever heard.
  23. Don't get me wrong, I agree with your thoughts here in general. But talk isn't going to win or lose the game, solid, disciplined play is going to win or lose it. I would love to see the penalties FINALLY get cut back and the execution, especially on offense, to remain at Miami levels! The importance of this game can't be overstated.
  24. Interesting, but they won't be lighting up City Hall? It is a gem of Art Deco architecture, arguably one of the best examples in the nation, and it should be lit up red too! Oh well.
  25. Disagree. We were better than the Giants. The Redskins would have beat us 5 out of 5 times that year. Ask Kelso or Tasker both of whom have commented on that game recently. The Cowboys teams were better too, that's why they kicked our butt two years in a row. Rather that look back at that era as the era of failure in the Superbowl, I have come to peace with it by thinking of it as the time when we absolutely OWNED the AFC four years in a row. Before the season even started back then, everyone in the AFC was thinking "Crap; if we are going to get to the Superbowl, we are going to have to beat Buffalo in OP in the cold and in front of that insane 80,000 man crowd." We had everyone scared before the season started! Will enjoy this 30 for 30 to no end, I'm sure.
