  1. I'm the type to literally run the numbers regardless of practicality just to see what the possibility is. Crazier things have happened. The Vikings are a pretty good team, a few more good pieces or a true franchise QB might be enough to push them over the top, who knows what they'll see at the top. They could have their pick of WR trading up to us. Cinncy is another team that is pretty good atm and could always jump up to grab someone they feel will push them over the fringe contender to serious Late Playoff runner. San Fran has a boat load of picks, so trading them is probably the most ideal for them. Although they have drafted well recently and could just rely on drafting young to lighten payroll. They are also in a position to really look for a smaller number of players in the draft and really pick and choose where and when to draft. I'm not really sure about the Cowboys..... every year they are touted as playoff contenders and every year they seem to let everyone down. I'm not sure if it's coaching, players, bad luck? Their division isn't exactly a happy place to be, it's no NFC West but it's no slouch. I just can't tell if they have a glaring need to jump up a few spots rather than just waiting. I'll probably give this a bit more consideration.
  2. Ok so I have had a pretty wasteful day at work. Been seeing what trades might be possible, and which ones would yield the best results. Unfortunately i didn't really go through each simulation for what i felt the team needed the most with who the Simulator said was available. However, i did end up with a daft I would be happy with if it happened. Obviously just having the Bills trade down would be a miracle let alone if these pieces fell into place. so here is a draft with us trading down with Cinncy. we trade: 8/105/143 for their 21/37/84/118/156 Trade recap: we trade back and gain a early second(ahead of jets) and additional third as well as trade back in the later rounds. Draft:(some rounds I have multiple picks as I would be ok with any of them, ** marks preferred but wouldn't break my heart if we got an alternative ) 1)Pick: 21 Arthur Brown ILB Kansas State or **Kevin Minter ILB LSU 2)Pick: 37 Alex Okafor OLB3/4 Texas 3)Pick: 41 Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State 4)Pick: 71 Terrance Williams WRF Baylor 5)Pick: 84 Ryan Swope WRF Texas A&M 6)Pick 118 **Lavar Edwards OLB3/4 LSU or Kevin Reddick ILB North Carolina 7)Pick: 156 **Matt Scott QB Arizona or Alvin Bailey OG Arkansas (honestly do not Like Alvin Baily but he is shown as a good value for the spot. Looking him up he has issues with speed and getting to the next level. This late in the draft I would thinkg Matt Scott would be a great deal, or you could reach on any of the players for the next pick) 8)Pick: 177 Corey Fuller WRF Virginia Tech or Matt Furstenburg TE Maryland or **Oday Aboushi OT Virginia Already got 2 WRs in the draft so a third might not be really needed. The Te is considered a reliable threat that was underused but seems to need a bit of coaching for blocking. The tackle is an interesting prospect and is compared to the RT from Cinncy and I think he can be kicked inside to Guard OR...... if he does well enough as a RT, we can move Chris Hairston to RG or LG. Maybe? Draft Recap: ILB OLB CB WR WR OLB QB OL I will probably do more of this after i'm done with some busy work i was just given. Let me know what you guys think. And of course yes this is all theoretical but i wouldn't mind this draft and would probably be extremely happy with it.
  3. Dear god... do you know what you have done? I love to do nothing but spend countless hours doing number crunching.... I don't even know where the last hour went.... With that in mind i'll post a bit later with some trade downs i'm fiddling with. They will obviously be pure speculation but i'll probably go through and see if i can note players i would rather have in certain spots. TY for the time spender for slow time at work.
  4. someone asked who is worth going 11th, vs going 8th.... I'll take a Guard/L?WR/CB at 11th with hopefully an addition pick in the second to go LB WR QB. Is it only 3 spots they are moving up? sure? but to get your man your gonna have to give us at least your second for the current yrs draft. I would really like trading with SF or Any other team with a lot of stock piled picks. The other thing to note as many have stated, you need a willing partner and someone needs to be there that they think will be gone if they wait.
  5. From what i remember of him, he always seems to do well in practice but had problems in games. Also, what does it hurt to try him out. Do you think he is worse than Aron Crop or whoever the trick throw QB from that viral video we have on our roster?
  6. Stevie has put up rather decent numbers with Garbage Qbs throwing to him, in a system that was Meh at it's best. I would wager that if he went to another team to be the number 1 guy, and had a QB that could reliably get him the ball, he would easily eclipse 1000 yds. Better yet, i would wager that if he went to be a number 2 somewhere, he would still hit 1000 yds. The thought of Stevie being lined up with single coverage across from a #2 or 3 DB is laughable. This isn't really plausible atm, but imagine if you would, Stevie lined up across from Calvin Johnson in a Offense that likes to throw. Hell you could probably put him on the Ravens or the Steelers right now, and he could easily contest the #1 spot. You guys are reading way to into this. If he performs during the season, who gives 2 rats asses if he doesn't work out in the off season, and don't give me that, oh man that's why he's always injured. Most injuries that happen to the groin area have less to do with working out and more to do with twisting and turning the wrong way, something that is pretty unavoidable.
  7. Honestly, if we didn't take a QB to the mid to later rounds and spent our early picks whether they be our normal picks or ones we stack up through trades on Offensive weapons and D starters i would be perfectly fine with that. No matter who our QB is next yr, we don't have many weapons for him at the moment. And leaning on the run is nice and all, but we need to have a way to make them stop stacking the box. And of course we can't have a D that is pitiful, so any help we can draft for that would be great. Lot of changes are coming and we are probably going to be livid and divided on how we view the team after the draft. I can't wait, i'll get my popcorn and call TO.
  8. Leonhard was recovering from knee surgery right? How did he do in Denver, anyone know? I'm not opposed to it, just don't know if he really wants a low ball contract to play for us.
  9. 1. For the right price, sure, he is terrible against the run though, and that worries me 2. I'm also fine with this signing for the right price 3. He is ok, and i wouldn't be terrified by this signing, but doesn't make or break anything for me 4. TE K. Davis - 6'-7" with good hands. Eh, i'm in no hurry to add another TE to our roster unless our coaches can show they intend to use two TE as recievers a lot . 5. I suppose, but again, for cheap. 6. No thank you. Brad Jones or the guy from the Jags over him. Hell both if possible. 7. Don't think we need him, lets save the money for something else 8. We don't really have the space, literally on the line, for a pass rusher. The mark anderson contract is really hamstringing us, but lets hope he can be productive this year. Also i wanted to note, you are about 9 million short on the Bills cap space. We are carrying over 9 million from last year to this year. So we have about 21 million after saving for rookies. Not a major difference but def enough to take a shot or slightly overpay for some FA
  10. The Browns, Lions, Seahawks, Texans, Falcons, Bengals, Panthers, Jaguars, Titans and Eagles will all win Superbowls before the Bills.
  11. The Bills are simply being outbid on players. I have seen several players where the Bills were mentioned to have made an offer. The problems remain that no one really wants to play for the bills, and we are trying to be efficient with our money while heading towards a youth movement. Everyone needs to calm down til training camp and see what we drafted, who we picked up in FA, and what contacts were given. Remember, we rolled over unused cap space last year onto this year. We didn't need to do that, especially if we had no intention of using it. They have a plan, just let them work on it. Lets just hope we don't have Nix draft a RB with our first pick.
  12. no thanks, lets keep the youth movement going. I'd rather spend money on Brad Jones
  13. I think the bills will somehow mange to sign a few more starters in FA as time goes by and their prices drop. I have faith, cuz it's all we've got atm.
  14. From what i read, he was on a team with poor receivers and a poor O-Line, and had to be shifty and try to make things happen. I wonder what it will be like if he has at least a semi decent Line to block for him. I'd say something about receivers but we only have 1.....
  15. There are some pretty good, extremely serviceable players that would fit our team left in FA. I would hope that we could snag a few at reasonable prices.
  16. i didn't think he was good at the intermediate ones....
  17. watched 1 minute of nothing by short passes.... no thx, i'm sure TJ can at least do that, or did you not get enough of Fitz throwing those this past yr.
  18. I would take him in the third or with a third pick if we traded back. I have this weird dream that the Bills go bat **** crazy, grab 2 big fast WRs and then find a QB that can get the ball down field. I would not mind picking him up as long as it's not our first 2 picks
  19. 1. M. Williams was hurt at the start of last season and played in a poor scheme. I would bet a lot of money that we will see much better production this year from him. 2. McKelvin's contract is a little high for my taste. But we have a good slot CB and a top kick returner taking up 1 roster spot and 1 contract. I'll let it slide 3. Fitz was not a starting caliber QB. Just a very good and servicable back up. Levitre was good but not worth the 8 million. End of discussion. Great guy, great player, not worth that much money on our team with so many other areas to worry about. 4. What planet do you come from? Just wondering. If you think the Bills were not in talks with the players agents you are high. Just because they haven't heard anything from the Bills doesn't mean that offers have not been made or price ranges discussed. Players who have played well know that they will most likely gain 1 large contract in their career. They know to cash in when they can. Agents know this as well. Bills are making offers, the agents and players are choosing to look for more money elsewhere and who can blame them, when was the last time the Bills had a coaching staff and team composition players really wanted to play for. 5. Hind sight is 20/20 talking about last years draft and the year before it. Also i'd like to point out that Wilson/Kaep would be terrible QBs on the Bills...... Not because of their skill sets but because of the scheme we were playing and the supporting cast. Just because a team hits with a player doesn't mean moving that player to another team would instantly fix that teams problems. See the Eagles dream team. I like what the Bills are doing this year in FA. I'm all for what tthey are doing waiting to get the best bang for thier buck. I hope they leave no stone unturned.
  20. They are looking to put the team through a youth movement and be efficient with their money. No more 15 million contracts for Brad Smith to be our 4th qb/wildcat runner/sometimes special teams player.
  21. Levitre was not worth 8 million to us. Thats all there is too it. we have more pressing needs than something we can plug into his spot
  22. I'd rather get the TE from the Raiders at a better price.
  23. Wait, am i actually going to be able to buy a new New Jersey Generals jersey? (.... to mane new's and jerseys to close together in that) As a football fan that lives in Jersey but was born right at/after the USFL flopped, I have always wished New Jersey had a team ( not just have 2 teams play in our state, someone please take the Jets away from the tri state area, i'm begging you. I like giants fans, Jets fans are just terrible) and i've always wanted a Jersey Generals jersey
  24. If we get Teebow in any way on the team, i will actually stop being a Bills fan. I could not handle that kind of idiocy. I think i can actually feel my blood pressure rising uncontrollably just from imagining the horror that entails. Nix will eventually be fired/relieved. By next draft things will seem much better. New coach, new systems, new schemes, rebuilding with a true youth movement for the first time ( that i can remember starting from the 90s). New season will be a learning process, but if we have a nasty smash mouth D and a young and upcoming O, i could live with that. All I want is a no nonsense coaching staff and a team that fights tooth and nail.
