  1. The NFL catch rules are ridiculous. To me, the process should end immediately once you are down by contact or out of bounds. On this particular play, the player caught the ball, gained possession, took a few steps and stepped out of bounds before falling. He dropped the ball when he tried using the ground as balance. That, to me, is a fumble and not an incomplete pass. Since he was already out of bound there was no fumble.
  2. Alex Tanney has a great YouTube video, too. Maybe we should bring him back.
  3. Both Kansas City guards (Asamoah, Schwartz). Give them both big offers and take the first one to accept. I'd rather have Asamoah as I think he'll be slightly cheaper and more likely to leave. Jermichael Finley or Brandon Pettigrew while letting Chandler walk. If Byrd walks then I'd like us to add TJ Ward out of Cleveland. Oh, and Arthur Jones. I think he would be a perfect addition to this front seven. He's a fantastic run stuff that we NEED. So my official wish list: Asamoah/Schwartz, Pettigrew/Finley, Arthur Jones. Maybe TJ Ward.
  4. You realize that a college head coach was already hired, right? And that there are two college head coaches gaining A LOT of steam right now? James Franklin of Vandy and Bob Stoops of Oklahoma.
  5. No. No. Just no. We don't need another 6'1 WR. Nor should we be trading up to get one. WR is below TE, guard and middle linebacker on the list of needs. Could move below safety. Should be below QB. He's the type of WR that you need a good QB to use properly.
  6. I have no problem with a preseason game going there. I think the NFL and its teams would benefit from doing a local "neutral" site game for one preseason game a year. Cuse would also be an option for the Bills. Get games in places that don't have a team.
  7. Those saying they'd take Murray in the 3rd: I would too, but he'll likely be more in rounds 5/6 due to the injury.
  8. This doesn't make us look bad, nor does it appear that they presented this in a negative way.
  9. Marrone: I'm at 51% confidence on him. Manuel: I'm at about 5.1%.
  10. I think Kiko could've been more consistent at the OLB spot. If we can land Anthony Barr at 9 somehow then put him in the middle. Shayne Skov could be an option, as well. Barr's biggest tool is his pass rushing ability, though, so it might be a waste to put him on the inside. But if he can translate the tendency to shed blockers from rushing the passer to stopping the runner than this defense would instantly be substantially better. I think a stud MLB would complete this defense. I love Allen, but I think lacy has it locked up.
  11. Sheldon Richardson is the winner. Kiko is second. Star is 3rd.
  12. Definitely. I think he's the third best QB in this kind of stacked QB draft. I think Carr is the best. But they won't.
  13. It would've been ten times as tarnished had they taken it away. Nobody is thinking in the heat of a game "hey, there's a chance the NFL takes away yards because the stat keepers are too incompetent to make the right call so let's go and risk injury for a little bit more." This is Manning's record, no asterisk. I'm sure that there are a handful of laterals that were missed during Brees' season, as well. Especially when thinking about the way they use screens and Sproles in that offense.
  14. Good stuff, but I don't really care for a RB in the third. Can draft one when we actually need one.
  15. Yes, I do. But they only closely review if there is something brought to their attention or they notice it themselves. There is no doubt that there are quite a few misses since they don't appear to be anything out of the ordinary as games happen. The fact of the matter is that the NFL is going to screw him out of the record. If the refs hadn't blown the call then he would've stayed in and got the record officially. How is it a gaffe? In every single persons' mind he had the record. No reason to get a record you already have.
  16. Doubt it. Unless it falls in the next few years. The years of huge passing yardage will slowly fall as the NFL goes towards the new hybrid QBs. They don't have the arms that guys like Manning, Brees and Stafford have. They also take away the passing attempts with more rushes.
  17. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24393148/nfl-elias-reviewing-peyton-manning-passing-record It does appear to be a clear lateral, but this is complete crap. If they are going to do this, then they should go back and review every single pass from Brees' record season, too. Manning would've stayed in the game had the call been made right in the first place. Unfortunately, it wasn't and it's going to cost Manning history. Extreme asterisk on this record.
  18. Man. People on here actually voted for Spiller? Please go back to school.
  19. He's doing everything right as far as money goes. Just not a winning guy, though. When the franchise starts caring about winning then he'll be out and we'll have eight home games a year.
  20. As far as the QB discussion goes: they aren't going to take one early. I'm okay with that. Get another weapon or two (specifically at TE) and then rebuild the offensive line around Wood and Glenn. Only take a QB if Murray slips into round 4/5.
  21. Not that people who have seen me around here won't be expecting this, but my confidence level in him is about 2%.
