  1. No!!!! Not the XP….we needed that typical score….jeeeeeezzzz
  2. Impressive what Stroud is doing given the limited pass catchers he is dealing with
  3. I’m sitting here trying to play out a scenario where neither teams scores in OT…like how could that even be possible lol
  4. I am not concerned about what Miami does on defense. It’s all about what Allen chooses to do. Interior DT penetration can be neutralized by putting horizontal pressure on the defense. We don’t do this effectively.
  5. Jerry Hughes coming back to Buffalo would be a cool story for wildcard weekend
  6. I like Nico Collins a lot. I also think he is a lot like our very own Gabe Davis.

  8. He was my fantasy steal of the draft.
  9. Is that play in our playbook?
  10. Care to elaborate for those unable to view?
  11. Christian Kirk activated off of IR…I imagine he’ll play
  12. The wife and daughter made cupcakes for the game tomorrow (fun fetti, vanilla frosting with red/blue sprinkles). Last time we made them the night before a game, I remember thinking to myself: don’t touch them. It’s bad juju! We lost that game to the NYJ with Zack Wilson at the helm. Therefore, it only makes sense to do about one a quarter to night, all in the name of victory for tomorrow.
  13. I’d take the colts in Buffalo.
  14. Unless they throw the ball on every down smh
  15. Sloppy weather has to benefit the ravens imo
  16. We all have our vices, some worse than others. For myself, I’m in a dry January stretch, actually after too much fun in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Definitely my battle, and a constant struggle in my own life. These stories are always good to hear. For many of us, moderation is a challenge. Something im still and likely always will be working on. Its part of my obsessive personality that I have with many facets of my life. Curious if anyone else on the board is in for dry January?
  17. Now I want to see his hair
  18. Debating which scenario I’d prefer, given one of the two we need to lose drops their game: 1) Steelers lose - I like this because as much as I like tomlin, I think he is getting a bit of a free pass this year. A few of their guys annoy me (Watt, Pickens, Johnson). Their QB situation is gross, and given their history of playoffs, winning records and success, it would be comical to watch them self-destruct against a division opponent with the playoffs on the line. 2) Jags lose - On the contrary, I really like a bunch of the players on Jacksonville (Kirk, Nigerian Nightmare, Allen). I don’t think Lawrence is a great QB. I think he’s fine but turns it over a ton. Despite this, it just seems like Jax has been this thorn for us the past handful of years (playoff loss, Urbab Meyer loss, London game) and for once maybe we can exercise those demeans with a little help from the Jags. At the same time, I hate Vrabel. And the titans. I don’t really want to be rooting for them Sunday. Im going with the Steelers. I’d rather watch them lose. Can’t think of a reason it’d be bad.
  19. im in agreement with you. To be devils advocate, pressures also aren’t a complete picture as well. It is true a pressure could result in a throw away, turnover or incompletion. It is also true that pressures can result in scrambles, completions or even scores. Part of the reason I believe people cling to sack statistics is because the data reflects a finite ending to the play. ESPN now uses the statistic pass rush win rate to show how well a player is performing. I like this because it offers other context along with it, such as the percentage of times a player is being double teamed, or how many rush snaps they’ve taken. I do think there is a better means to represent impact of pass rushers. That being said, I was only trying to add some context to what 80% of Von could eventually materialize into if we’re so lucky to see him return to that form.
  20. Excluding this season, if you look at his avg sacks per year since entering the league x.8, we’re looking around 8 sacks next year. All things considered, I’d take that.
  21. Im 100% in on a Dawkins extension. Maybe for Brown, but is it possible they think a guy like VanDemark could develop? How often do we hear about the back end OL talent developing and it never comes to fruition. On the contrary I think they’re going to end up using those picks on special teamers, secondary players, or other pieces to the puzzle. You’re right they have a lot to cover, and the draft is the cheapest and most selective way to get a particular skill you’re looking for on the cheap. IMO guys like Siran Neal and Matekavich can be easily replaced. I personally care very little about special teams. 1) Yes, agreed on Siran. 2) If McDermott is still at the helm, I feel confident he’ll be able to find adequate replacements in the draft. We don’t have the luxury of being able to sign two future all-pro safeties as we did when McD first was up and coming. In fact, neither were all that highly touted. They developed into that caliber of a player under McD and I have believe he can get enough from others that it won’t be a major concern 3) Zero expectations from this guy moving forward. Unfortunate end to a fantastic Buffalo career. Not sure what, if anything, he’ll have left…and I’m willing to doubt it likely won’t be worth the savings.
  22. Lately….it feels like we haven’t seen them nearly as much as last season.
