  1. LaPorta with some snags. Looks like they got a good one in DET…. …..hopefully we do too!
  2. Could we get a competitive and quality prime time game some time please?
  3. 1) Lose the Zone run scheme 2) Fix spacing in routes downfield 3) can we get a successful screen? 4) stay ahead of the chains (we’ve been terrible on 1st down) 5) demonstrate we have the ability to scheme guys into space and let them do the leg work
  4. I’ll repeat my prediction of week 6. He’ll play a minimal rotational role. Floyd and Groot have been holding it down wonderfully, and there is no rush to force snaps early. Get his feet wet and his game conditioning back to full strength while he can come in situationally and build back up some confidence.
  5. I wouldn’t call the play @Dr Krentist posted an error, mostly because a WR option was like 1 of the options on this play. Allen likely had some sort of read, maybe a safety or LB, to key in on which would tell him where to go. Although the line appears to be working towards Diggs, they are really working hat to hat. The Cook swing was there, and they had it lined up just about as well as you could want it (given the down and distance). As others have mentioned, since we don’t know the key or what Dorsey is telling Allen in his ear given weather, situation etc, I think this is a pass.
  6. Buying DaQuon Jones - guy does not get the props he deserves. He’s been both impactful in the run and pass game. He and Big Ed have been a large piece of the puzzle keeping 43 and 58 clean to clean up. Selling the Dorsey/Kromer Zone Runs - The bills run game is much more suited for gap scheme, as well as with Cooks explosiveness. Those delayed handoffs, RPOs and slow developing plays do not play well into Cook’s abilities. Holding Gabe Davis - I am not for a Davis extension. I think he is who we thought he is. And right now, that’s the best #2 option they have to stretch the field and find big chunk plays aside from Diggs. He’s far from ideal and probably would be a better sell at this point based off of last weeks production, but the fact of the matter is we are going to need those plays from Davis if we want to be a real contender.
  7. It was an inside counter. Reminiscent of my old wing T days. Early on it was obvious Dorsey’s game script was to try and neutralize the aggressive DL with misdirection and quick game. It didn’t work until later in the game when they really started rolling with their gap scheme run game in the 3rd Q
  8. Three weeks in and Davis is 9-159-2 Average reception is 17.2 YPC. He’s on pace for 50 catches and 900 yards. This is the Gabe Davis we know. He’s also the Gabe Davis that on top of his 1-35-1 this past Sunday, dropped a pass, whiffed on a block on a screen (opening play) and was the target of the INT. No chance this guy is back next year IMO
  9. Right. About 5 yards apart the whole way. I know you were highlighting his speed there but I’m assuming Kincaid was too deep on that route.
  10. Just rewatched the first half of offensive snaps….woof: - Dorsey has to lose the RPO/Zone/Draw - What kind of route concepts are these? On a few plays, it was just run off the LOS and turn around. One play in the RZ 3rd and long, Diggs in motion on the snap and he just loafs off the line a few yards and looks back. It’s bizarre. - guys still seem to be clogged up in their routes - Allen is creating when nothing is there (what’s new) - Harty is JAG. - Morse and Torrence seemed to have a tough go - Disjointed for sure: as the OP stated, a few big Allen scrambles and off-script strikes kept those drives going… - Shakir with a nice out route on a 3rd down to gain separation for the 1st 16 points in the first half, aided by multiple turnovers and a goal line stand on 4th down. This offense can be so much better and I hope Dorsey is ready to unleash something new. - quick screen game is awful: 1st okay to Kincaid and a 3rd and long to Diggs both lost yards.
  11. I’ll give you that it’s definitely a hinderence. It isn’t my most concerning thought about the offense. Despite their recent perceived success, I don’t thjnj they have the horses at WR2/3 and TE to win 1v1 consistently in a way that would benefit Allen, taking pressure of his plate by structuring more quick game. As discussed in numerous other threads, this is not a Dorsey nor Allen strength. I don’t think ot necessarily want it to be. I do however wish they had the option if they needed to.
  12. Let’s hope it lasts a little longer than the original legend
  13. That guy with the long bengals painted beard and bald head: 1) kudos to you man 2) I feel better about myself
  14. Are we sure that we want the Rams to win though? I thought losing to an NFC team helps your playoff chances?
  15. Awesome INT. Let’s see if Stafford and co gives it right back
  16. Down 7 points, 3rd and 16 with a quarter to go. A draw play? Come on
  17. Simulated pressures. Can be confusing to OL/QB both before the snap and during the play. Lots of teams do this.
  18. So the guy has a strained calf muscle? The only thing I know for that is rest. He’s going to fight through this until when, the bye week?
  19. 1 year rental…or re-sign a 31 year old (in 2024) WR…..as much upside as he brings, I don’t think he’s what they need.
  20. Looks like they had the line slide the wrong way, or Stafford should know they don’t have enough hats. My guess is that was on Stafford however it really was. And yes. He felt that. Just not in the way he would have liked lol
  21. People who bring large signs to games are the worst
  22. Amazing how fast the Bucs fell from glory…and on the same note, the rams too. Ironic they’re both on tonight as I have this thought
  23. I always quietly like watching “top dawgs” struggle. Makes me feel better about our own insecurities.
