This is why it’s a confusing move. ImWith Coleman gone, you’d think they’d be eyeing more of a boundary WR to fill the role. It’s possible they are doubling down or speed and YAC ability thinking they may be needing to take a lot of underneath stuff the next few weeks.

My only disappointment about this is that he and the fans have been robbed of seeing what his entire rookie season would like in comparison to the other rookie WRs. It’s always fun to discuss and compare, plus watching him gets you opportunity to get excited (or not) about his future. The offense will be fine in the meantime, IMO. But it mostly bums me out for that reason.

Where did you get this from? They’re giving up 4.4 Y/C (15th of 32) seeing the 2nd most rushing attempts in the league, and allowing 150 Y/G (31st of 32). If you want to look at the split for the last three games, they are slightly better than their season average, but they still aren’t good by any metric I can see.

In plain speak, the team has outperformed the average of all the teams on similar downs and distances by 21%. How might this look? If the average NFL team on 3rd&10 gains 8 yards, the Bills gain 9.6 yards. We’re an Allen snow plow away from moving the chains. DVOA has a strong correlation to winning percentage. As does rate of first downs per play. These things are both indicative of a good team. Indy currently sits at 20th in the league in DVOA. They’ve accumulated a -5% rate of return in this metric.
