Prediction Time: McDermott goes straight cover 0 on early downs, bringing pressures from different players (Taron Johnson, Jordan Poyer, etc.) selling out to stop the run. I imagine they will drop into a two shelled look (cover 4 likely) on longer 2nd and 3rd downs relying on the front 4 to contain Newton from running. I think he will challenge Cam to beat them early, and then force him to try and make plays that aren't there if they get behind the sticks. I said earlier in the week, and I'll say it again. It is IMPERATIVE that the Bill's special teams is on the ball, and ready for games. It seems like they are due some trickery within the punt game or elsewhere. Offensively, I think BB tries to take away Diggs and again force the Bills to drive the field, and take the underneath throws. I'd love to see Allen on the move today, with sprint roll outs, play actions, etc. and try to hit some bigger throwbacks across the zone underneath clear-outs. KC does it well, the Rams do it, I think it is well within Dabol and Allen's realm. I hope to see it!

Your last sentence is as true as can be. However, the similarities between the TEN and NE games end there. You can make the argument about injuries, CoVID and all that jazz but in reality: one team has talent and success on both sides of the ball this season while the other does not. They must NOT take this game lightly, because those NE players aren’t high schoolers and their coach isn’t a rookie. It is always a threat. That being said, a loss to NE would be crushing, where as the TEN loss was but a speed bump. Yes, if I had to pick one, I guess to me it’s more important Allen shine.

Last Thanksgiving was one of the most memorable of my life. Breakfast at the in-laws, watched the early game (no idea who), talked about how we HOPED they wouldn’t have another prime time let down and we then drove to my parents for kickoff. Had delicious apps, a blowout first half. Dinner during the second, and pie for victory. I’m sorry but there is nothing more American than a surrogate sense of accomplishment while sampling berry pies.

Is this like the Silicon Valley law of “section 230” where we trust mega-monopolies to, ah-hem “self-monitor” their own platforms, AI, and undeniable psychological manipulation of man kind? If there are aliens, let’s hope they are just!

not targeted necessarily directly at this comment, but all that are related: ive been very critical of the Lb this year thus far, but to those that want them out, benched, gone, etc...what’s the alternative? Can Matt Barkley play MLB? A street free agent? Ya still need back ups... I know you were kidding but guess what, everyone!?!?! Our Lbs are weak, and the vulnerability of the defense. instead of continuing to harp on the lack of talent and depth, I am moving my criticisms to the coaching staff. Now, I cannot blame them for a missed tackle, or a bad read, but you can demand that the staff be more aware of the lack of talent and require less of these players by trying to scheme out of it. maybe I’m completely wrong, but I’d Tremaine and Klein are struggling, it’s up to the staff to get them into a better position to be successful.

I’m entirely expecting multiple and detailed special teams games this weekend. It’s a BB staple, and I haven’t really seen much from them in this department so far this year. Watch for some trickery on their punt block, kick returns, punt fakes or onside kicks. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least for them to take a shot and get force a spark to get things moving.
