  1. So, basically, Buddy won't be napping, or sleeping, and catching a few winks when free agency starts this year? I'm JUST asking.
  2. Screwed? I think they would find somone else to catch thoses passes, maybe not quite as good. He got benched for being stupid, and then had another game with multiple drops this past year I think.
  3. I stand corrected. Running backs are strong unit. They were not omitted intentionally. Love Freddy.
  4. Those types of moves would help, but there's just no strong or dominant unit on this team. o O-line is still a big questions mark. What's the starting lineup next year? Who goes down again? o QB is still a big question mark in my mind. Fitz has proved prone to the big mistake and INT. o WR. Showed some promise early, but they do need a go-to recevier. I agree. o D-line is still a work in progress. Bills have lacked a pash rush for so long I almost forget what one looks like. They probably need 2 DE's in reality. o LB corp: I don't know. Who starts where in the 4-3? o Secondary is getting old very quick. But they do have some young guys that show some promise. We'll see. o The entire D is getting old. Look at all the guys 30 and over on this D. There's going to be some adjustment going back to the 4-3 I would imagine, and Chan has shown to be a liability as O coordinator with his inability to adjust IMO. That's a lot of things to overcome and win 10 or 11 games and make the playoffs if you ask me.
  5. Huh? After the fact? I'm saying it now. Bring in some difference makers and then tell me all about it. Unitl then, it's all just more talk. And if Nix really believes the Bills are close to making the playoffs, he's delusional.
  6. + 1 10 wins in 2 seasons: not good. They want to sell season tickets and bringing in even a couple mid-level free agents will be enough for the insatiable hordes.
  7. + 1 And look at the age of some of the D roster. The other day I posted, like 11 players on D 30 or over, with 5 or 6 being starters. How do even the mediocre players get replaced when you can't draft? We've all been hoping for Nix to turn this thing around, and pending some superb draft in 2012, this roster may be going in reverse very soon (again). IMO.
  8. Use Whitner in your everyday speech. When you overpay for something you won't get any significant use out of, it's called "drafting a Whitner." i.e. My friend chose to buy HDDVDs instead of Blue ray discs, he sure did draft a Whitner. How are the Bills going to get "Whitnered" this year? Which round, or which position? Could be a contest?
  9. Great. Draft a QB who can't throw for Chan's pass happy, pass 1st 2nd and 3rd offense. Good move. The more I see, the more I believe this franchise is just so massively screwed it's beyond belief.
  10. It was a bad year. Take a look at the defensive players currently in roster 30 or over. 11 guys, just on defense? Is that shocking? # Name Pos. Ht. Wt. Age Exp. College 50 Barnett, Nick LB 6-2 230 30 9 Oregon State Starter 54 Davis, Andra LB 6-1 255 33 10 Florida 98 Edwards, Dwan DE 6-3 301 30 7 Oregon State Starter 29 Florence, Drayton CB 6-0 193 31 9 Tuskegee Starter 91 Johnson, Spencer DE/LB 6-3 305 30 8 Auburn Starter 90 Kelsay, Chris LB 6-4 260 32 9 Nebraska Starter 58 Morrison, Kirk LB 6-2 247 30 7 San Diego State 43 Scott, Bryan S 6-1 220 30 9 Penn State 37 Wilson, George S 6-0 211 30 6 Arkansas Starter 53 Torbor, Reggie LB 6-2 254 31 8 Auburn 24 McGee, Terrence CB 5-9 208 31 9 Northwestern State Starter
  11. No, that was a 1 x deal. I'm suggesting more that the Bills have an injury plagued team and roster. Terrance Mcgee went out the very first play of the first game last year that I remember. 2nd play? Both he and Florence are on the wrong side of 30. What are the chances of both starting corners making it through the 2012 season?
  12. Maybe you're right. I'll start posting again when the Bills make the playoffs. Or maybe just wait until next year when everyone starts making excuses for the Bills not winning: like injury.
  13. Bell started 8 games in 2009. Was IR'd in 2009. Wood started 10 games in 2009. Also IR'd I believe. I don't know how to view that for 2012 other than one or both are likely to go down.
  14. I guess the thing is the Bills are going to keep rolling the same guys out there who can't make it through a season and then say they can't win in part due to injury: Right. Now correct that problem, but they don't get it.
  15. Right. I knew that was coming. Well I guess when you have a QB who can throw the ball and a D line that gets after it, you can win. Just not the Bills.
  16. Bills rank third in NFL injury toll. Article almost certainly previously posted, however got me thinking with the draft coming up. How many players that were IR'd last year going to be projected to start again? o They are apparently working an offer for Bell, who can't stay on field. o Merriman likely back, again. o McGee just got restructured. o Wood went down again. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article680813.ece http://billsdaily.com/injury/
  17. Gailey reminds me of Kildrive when he was here. Gailey isn't going to change anything, so expect more of the same this year. Also, when defenses fugured Gailey out, end of story. No changes and no adjustments. Gailey will probably cost the team a couple games every year with suspect ot play calling or situational awareness.
  18. I'm not sure I would apply logic to a discussion re: D line depth. Kyle Williams is pretty much acknowledged to be one the best players on the Bills. I wouldn't start comparing him to S. Johnson. So, how much do you pay for a 3o year old backup D lineman on a bad defense. If they can get him cheap, then why not I guess. Teams do need backups. I would rather get some young guys in there to compete for the positions and develop.
  19. Please explain "excellent depth" if you would. The Bills have had onw of the worst D's in the league for two years now, and Spencer is a backup on the unit. He did start 11 games last year, so maybe he IS an excellent backup? Not sure.
  20. Kelsay continuing to be on the Bills is a riddle wrapped in an enigma. IMO, that contract has the stink of Ralph all over it.
  21. Damn you Foresight!
  22. If that's accurate it sounds reasonable. He's started only nine (9) games over the last two years, and he is 31. I can't see him making ot through an entire season, and I don't know that he ever has. http://www.nfl.com/player/terrencemcgee/2505520/profile
  23. You should have changed your password and that wouldn't have happened.
  24. My thoughts exactly. C'mon Capt. Hindsight, you're better than that!
