Sarah Palin Background Check
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to BillsNYC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
another thing that has come out is that her local newspaper said, when a democratic investigator asked for copies of their archives, that it was the first time anyone had requested them. The McCain campaign has since said that because the archives were only available on microfiche, requesting them would have blown their secrecy requirements. Microfiche in the 21st century? maybe. So, you ignore a basic investigative process because it might show you were interested in her? They couldn't hire a private investigator or a lawyer to do this? -

you really are on some wicked drugs -
Campbell Brown questioned whether Sarah Palin's foreign policy experience as defined by the McCain campaign (and Tucker Bounds didn't even try to refute that) qualified her as ready to assume the presidency if something happened to John McCain. She asked him a simple question; provide a single executive decision she made that would qualify her foreign policy experience. There wasn't any. You can argue that Campbell Brown didn't buy into their argument, but it sure seemed like she went out of her way to let the campaign explain Palin's readiness, and they couldn't. After the interview, McCain canceled a CNN appearance on Larry King Live, stating that CNN had crossed the line with that line of questioning...

Scout.com says Peters may be back monday
In-A-Gadda-Levitre replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
really good post, one of the best I've seen. Excellent point about the cap relief from Schoebel. I don't that has been brought up much if at all. I have asked Mickey to show us links where the Bills actually stated he wouldn't get a new deal this year. He hasn't, because they don't exist. It might be true, but it can't be proven. Personally I think the reporters are just repeating the same hearsay, and they never attribute it to anyone in the Bills organization, save for an unnamed Bills source. Also great stuff about the opinion side and coming off as fact, you hit the nail on the head. -
I agree with most of this, but you can't really judge their pass rush, or lack thereof, on the preseason games. Combined with lack of game planning, teams rarely show their blitzing schemes before September.

Well, they let Fox News say they're Fair and Balanced, so just about any moniker is good to go...

good post Dr

ok, I'll agree with the stellar defense question, but that article was really poorly done. A very inaccurate picture of the strengths and weaknesses of this team. So it's more about the writer than the outrageous compliment on the D. By the way, please try to use more descriptive titles when you start a thread...

there's a rookie free agent receiver named Tony Gonzales from Boston College, recently cut from the Falcons, maybe that's him...

I notice the article doesn't mention (even once) about Peters not showing up as being the major issue or even being a factor in the impasse. Sure he's underpaid, he deserves more money, the Bills have been hurting at that position for a decade, and it's arguably the toughest position to fill. But by refusing to communicate and participate, he ruins his chances and the team's ability to achieve success. That's what Mickey fails to see in his crusade. If Peters comes to OBD, works hard, and delivers, but doesn't get the money, you will see a tidal wave of current supporters, (be they fans, players, or the media) switch sides and go against the Bills office.

umm here she says otherwise the next day she backtracked a bit...

As many times as you have made the statement that the Bills will not negotiate this year's contract, you have yet to produce one quote from a Bill's executive that says that. You continue to refer to reporter's statements that have no attributes or source. Show us the quote that says "no new contract this year" from a Bill's employee. You can't, because there aren't any. Brandon, of course, will not tip his hand and say they will absolutely rip up the old one. Anyone that expects him to say that in public has no knowledge of contract negotiation. "Honor the commitment" could just as easily be interpreted as "show up."

mccain just won the election

I love that bigger increase than Bush without a war. Seems like the war in Iraq is costing us something just under $200B a year, depending on how you count it. And our current president pretty much signed every spending bill that was put under his nose until Alan Greenspan's book called him out and he suddenly found his "veto voice". Obama is already preparing his cluster bombs of new taxes on everyone, and so along with a left wing-controlled congress, we're doomed! But the dems with their deficit spending habits are the most irresponsible party ever to exist and right behind it are the republicans? What a country we live in that both political parties are so fiscally inept. Where's Ann Rand when you need her? -

Taser wasn't mentioned in that story, so she didn't really change her story. Apparently he said he tasered him because the kid asked him to -
During the Lions game, Steve Tasker made a pretty good point, even though he belabored it a bit. He said if your KRs are doing down and distance, as well as returns, you're gonna suffer. They're just too tired. The next play was evidence, even though it was Scott Mayle (I think). The player was winded. I agree, fatigue and injury point away from McGee.
