  1. the instance you quoted was correct. but... You can post all of the Jaguars' weaknesses and turn around and prop em up because your scared to go all out...is wrong
  2. I totally agree about Schonert, that's what I was trying to say in my original post. The only questionable part was that he had never coached at an OC level in the pros. And as we both are saying (I think), it turned out to be a great decision.
  3. you're right Kelly. There was no indication he was going to make a change. The media was bitching about the play calling and of course the same things on the message boards and in the bars. DJ never even hinted anything, other than this year, he acknowledged some or most of the generic offensive problems.
  4. bad break for the Hawks, Burleson is out for the season
  5. I gotta disagree... I respect DJ as a coach, he is loved by the players, maintains his cool and usually has his team well prepared for the games. He has his faults like any coach. Where he falls down badly is blind support for his coaching staff, the textbook case being Fairchild. He defended him when he was wrong and there's no indication (at least as far as I can tell) that any change was forthcoming if Fairchild didn't get offered the CSU job. DJ didn't head any call; he merely promoted from within when his OC left for a better job and it sure looks like it was a good, if not great choice. this is probably much closer to the truth...
  6. that was just CYA after 'ole Mort told the world they were being given tryouts
  7. actually every single ESPN analyst except Golic and Schlereth picked the Bills to win
  8. you're absolutely right UC
  9. o yeah, that would be me
  10. as of 3 pm today, Belicheat says they haven't worked out any other quarterbacks, no matter what has been said in the media. He said they'd consider all the options and make the best choice for the team.
  11. ieatcrayonz wants to know if you're 1/2 canadian...
  12. Question: Coach, after reviewing the play, do you think it was a dirty hit? Belicheat: It doesn't really matter what I think, the officials officiate the game, I'm sure they'll handle it. We've always taught our players that it's their responsibility to hit the quarterback above the knees and below the shoulders, so (mumbles) deal with the Vince Wilfork play last year with Buffalo. It's not the same, but there's some similarities.
  13. I get it, you're a troll
  14. did you even read the article? obviously not! So beat the living crap out of him for making a gaffe, he never said he was a Muslim. What else you got?
  15. if it helps, during the post game show, Chris Collingsworth thought the Bills would win the AFC East
  16. wow, seeing Wilfork on slo mo is just brutal. That was clearly intentional. Pollard was going for a leg tackle and his helmet hit Brady's knee in the process. As you say, totally different.
  17. Yes, they could have given him away, but the point was that the Bills were ready to give up on him if the light bulb didn't turn on. The good news is that AY got the message and delivered.
  18. count how many CBs we drafted and brought in as FAs, then rethink that
  19. wow, how long was that punt?
  20. I hear you on that, I guess I'm thinking just because the nuclear program is on the table doesn't mean they had to concede anything, but it did make a huge difference in retrospect. I also agree it has gotten better...although the saber rattling is stupid. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but it sure seems like they could have a big affect on Iran's nuke development if they offered a lot more help and less negative rhetoric. As an example, Iran says they need nukes to generate electricity, which might just be a smokescreen of course. The US has a lot of expertise in generating plants and other non-nuke power that we could offer them.
