Hannity and other conservative talk show hosts (savage, o'reilly, etc.) intimidate and B word slap the guests who allow them to, which is most of the time. Those hosts, right or wrong, control the conversations by bullying and being more aggressive in order to win their point of view. When a guest like Gibbs is able to hijack the show and give them a taste of their own medicine, it's a totally different scenario then the former. And as KTFBD pointed out, he showed how stupid Hannity's guilt by association argument is. This interview was an extremely rare turning of the tables on Sean Hannity. I didn't realize p'wned had to include specific tactics or outcomes. If you wanna call it something else, you're entitled to your opinion.

It now has a name... and Obama's campaign must have decided he needed a part of that action... -

Carly Fiorina said McCain was talking about this "way back in April" and nobody caught it. Most of the pundits expected this to cost $300-350B MORE than the bailout, but the legal options had already been given to the Treasury to actually implement it if they chose to. It's going to be interesting if the conservatives laud this or hate it, since it gives McCain a real differentiator, but also smacks of high cost government programs and all that ugly bailout stuff. -

One thing that actually got me angry was that neither of the two was making any attempt at answering the questions. I think the only time they did was the "is Healthcare a right, responsibility, etc.?" and the last question, about "What don't you know and how will you learn it?", McCain did a pretty good job at that. It's one thing to ignore a moderator and go off on a tangent, but ignoring a citizen who asks you a direct question to your face was totally amazing. Obama was just as bad as McCain in this respect. What a shame! -
yes he served on those boards with Ayers, and yes, Ayers hosted a fundraiser when Obama was starting out. This means Obama is a terrorist, or they share philosophies about something that happened when Obama was 8 years old? Hillary Clinton, Sean Hannity and a few others tried using this and it fizzled. What else you got?

the reality is that Frank's blow buddy Herb Moses, who's tenure at Fannie Mae, as well as their relationship, ended in 1998. Paulson, the Federal Reserve, and the SEC have all stated that the current financial crisis "was triggered by a dramatic weakening of underwriting standards for US. subprime mortgages, beginning in late 2004." In late 2005 the House passed a bill to establish a new federal regulator for Fannie, Freddie and the Federal Home Loan Banks. The White House opposed the House bill and announced their support for a forthcoming Senate bill. But the Senate bill never came up for a vote, and the legislation died on the floor. Clearly, the Democrats have a part of the blame here, but to try and pin it on Barney Franks based on his lifestyle choices is just plain wrong. -

I hear you on that... I have been an Obama supporter for a while now. I was thinking (after reading about John McCain's life and the choices he made) that I would change my mind in an instant if similar things were alleged about Obama. I say alleged because undoubtedly some of the things Dickinson wrote are wrong or taken out of context, but the majority of it seems to be well researched and supported by witnesses. -

IMO, an excellent interview. He says some astounding things, like the capital gains tax should be higher (than payroll taxes). The heart attack patient and Pearl Harbor examples are spot on. Also he put the bailout ROI in perspective for me, meaning the fed has super low costs of borrowing, etc., and while there's no guarantees, he pretty much says it would be hard not to make money down the road.
