Oakland is a much better team than their record shows, you only had to watch Sunday's game to see they're no slouch. The Raiders beat the Rams in every offensive and defensive stat except for penalties, so not sure where you perceive Rams as being better in any respect.

what's amazing to me, beyond the good play of the home team, is that Sully is suddenly Mr. Positive in the last few weeks. He has done nothing but trash this team for years, so it's good that he has nice things to say about the Bills for a change.

yes of course. I was responding to Silvermike's post that said they had been close for so long. The article that started this thread AFAIK was the 1st one that actually said they've closed the gap...

It's hilarious that the only impatient people here are the fans. Without doing a lot of research, I don't remember any articles that said they were close; everything seemed to state that talks were continuing, but they weren't really all that close to a deal, and more importantly, that nobody was concerned. Lee Evans is not in a hurry, his stock continues to rise, the FO knows he wants to stay here, and he's a reasonable dude. There's no reason whatsoever to even mention the franchise tag to him, as negotiations are continuing and progressing.

now that we finally have a serious DT, let's see how Schobel and Kelsay perform with Marcus Stroud tying up blockers
