  1. yeah, the same guy and he's a regular on Fox News with a surprisingly very far right commentary. I never understood that. in this article you'd think he'd never heard of the electoral college...
  2. I actually wondered if LAbillz was gonna jump all over the persecution of an American hero
  3. Shep Smith, who gets kudos for being one of the most impartial hosts on Fox News, rips Joe the Plumber for agreeing with someone in the crowd that a vote for Obama means the Death of Israel words = action, but words don't matter?
  4. the guy's first argument is based on a fallacy: that Obama is repealing the Bush Tax Cuts on incomes of $100K. It's simply not true. Only married couple's incomes that exceed $250K and singles that exceed $200K will have those tax cuts backed out to what they were before: From Obama's Tax Plan Page 5 Repealing a portion of the Bush tax cuts for families over $250,000 while continuing to leave their taxrates at or below where they were in the 1990s: Ordinary Income: The top two income tax brackets would return to their 1990’s levels of 36% and 39.6%. All other tax brackets would remain as they are today. I stopped reading after that, since it was total bullshchit
  5. since Acorn can only register voters and they have to be confirmed before they can actually vote, you just gave them a huge compliment
  6. While maybe that's true in some cases, it's pretty clear that Obama will "take down" the Bush tax cuts. Will Obama's middle class tax cuts come down, that remains to be seen...
  7. I understand the trickle down theory and sometimes in the past, especially under Ronald Regan, it worked. However, the same process (cutting taxes for the uber wealthy to promote economic growth) utterly failed under GW Bush. Now Obama wants to reverse these tax cuts, raise them a bit for a small minority of rich individuals and companies, bring back the capital gains rate to essentially the same rates as under Clinton, while cutting taxes for the vast majority of Americans. But that's socialism, communism, redistributing the wealth and God knows whatever other evil things are going to happen. So you (collectively) want to continue to give tax relief to those that need it the least and continue to tax those that can't make ends meet at the same rate, and that's perfectly ok? I don't get it, I really don't.
  8. as opposed to repeating talking points, in your own words, realistically and specifically, what does this mean for America?
  9. ok, you win, the Dolphins are worth upwards of a $1B and that's millions of dollars difference in capital gains. So goes the world of high value transactions. We better choose a tree to lynch up Obama, that communist.
  10. ahhh I got you now, and you're probably right about that
  11. you're not even funny, just dumb as a rock
  12. there's very little indication that he's closing at all. The RCP Average, which is pretty much the standard that's quoted, has been steady at +6-8% for Obama for the past week or so. The real issue are the electoral votes in the battleground states, which every single Republican analyst, pundit, and consultant says McCain pretty much needs to sweep, and there's literally nothing that shows he can do that.
  13. yeah, it's very cool. I used to go by it on 101 everyday. I always thought a terrorist could shoot a stinger from the highway if there was some high profile target.
  14. This guy has been ridiculed worldwide for years. He has a degree in Journalism and no scientific credentials other than inventing a puzzle.
  15. I agree it's kinda strange. They paid about $15M in 2005 for the 767, and it's been modified to carry 50 passengers, which, as business jets go, is pretty cheap, although you could argue it uses a lot more fuel than a Gulfstream. They have a unique deal with NASA - they pay for parking space and the use of the runways (several million $ per year), and NASA puts a lot of gear in the planes and uses them for research.
  16. An Associated Press investigation has found what it called a flawed bidding procedure in the Alaskan gas pipeline project. I have to agree that allowing the companies that own the rights to the gas might have too big of an advantage if they build the pipeline also, but the improprieties that are alleged here do not bode well for Mrs. Palin's rep...
  17. the plane is for NASA research. why not read the article before you start your senseless blabbering?
  18. hmmm OH Obama +6.3 average PA Obama +10.8 average FL Obama +2.2 average CO Obama +6.5 average NV Obama +3.3 average not sure how McCain is even in the ballpark to take all of these
  19. Maybe, but other than occasionally a single poll showing some tightening, they are very consistent about a large Obama lead. The real issue are the electoral votes. McCain needs to carry Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, AND probably Nevada or Colorado. Read ALL of them. If you really think this is gonna happen, you don't have much company.
  20. This guy usually puts his foot in his mouth on the political cable shows, but he presents the most logical strategy I have seen (recently) by a Republican journalist... David Frum's OpEd on a Republican Triage
  21. while maybe batting cages might be over the top, this is standard operating procedure for IT in the private sector as well. I've been told to ship empty boxes, hand carry invoices or PO's (bill them, but don't necessarily ship it yet) through the process, etc. just to use up left over funds.
  22. how does someone misspell 4 words in 2 sentences and not notice it?
