I completely agree. Global warming cooling climate change people want to use anything to try to prove their apocalyptic predictions (that have been consistently wrong). The earth is warming. How much of it is because of our actions versus the normal warming-cooling cycles that have been happening since creation has yet to be determined. How much of it can be reversed also cannot be determined. It fills the coffers with a lot of money, though.
[Waits for the "settled science" comments]
Is it that the weather is more severe, or is it that there is an increase in population (using more resources, as well as having more buildings to house those people)? Towns/cities are larger and more condensed. People are building more near rivers/oceans. Less areas for water to escape. More water being used by people.
So, if I understand you correctly, to make your point you pulled a number out of your ass to say "See, this proves my point. Look at my fabricated number."
I can do my own tee shots, than you very much. ?
Let me see if I can recap. You stated that Amazon employees are better off with $15/hour because of the lower NPV on stock options, but then stated that the NPV can't be calculated. Do I have that correct?
I wanted to see how he calculated the present value of something that hasn't vested yet. I also wanted to know what strike price he was using, as well as the assumed rate of return on a stock with a 3-year beta of 1.73 (had to look it up for AMZN).
