  1. Need a contractor?
  2. I know that they refuse to admit it, but doctors can be wrong. My wife was suffering from many different symptoms for months. She went to her PCP, and he kept telling her it was vertigo. She kept telling him that she had other symptoms that cannot be explained with verigo. He brushed her off and refused to acknowledge the other symptoms. She went to ENT's and other specialists. ALl refused to listen to ALL of her symptoms and even get nasty with her for even discussing things outside of their diagnosis. Long story short...she has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and Bibicia (sp?). She is now undergoing treatment. Becuase the other doctors refused to listen to ALL of her symptoms, treatment needs to be more aggressive and will last longer. There is also increased risk of permanent damage the longer it is in her body. The moral of the story is that if you feel that the doctors are not giving your concerns adequate acknowledgement, see another doctor. Keep going until you get satisfactory answers. Due to the negilgence of my wife's PCP, she could have suffered irrepairable damage to her body. Time will tell if there is any actual damage, but at least she is getting treated for ALL of her symtoms.
  3. I remember being in Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson's 95th Anniversary celebration. That was a blast. A few got rowdy, but for the most part everyone was cool.
  4. He didn't. Mickey just likes making sh-- up so that he can bash Republicans.
  5. I think the grand jury ends its session at the end of this month, IIRC. You will hear by then.
  6. I have no reason to insult you like that.
  7. History started January of 2001. Once you realize that, you will blend in with the lefties here. Either that, or go with the tried and true Mickey-ism, "yeah, Dems do it but Republicans are worse."
  8. I don't have a problem with catastrophe funds per se. My problem is with federalizing it. Let each state determine the structure of their fund and how to impliment it. Not all states are going to need the same setup.
  9. Of course. In fact, you should get a raise. Remember, problems are solved by spending money. If the problem does not get better, it is obviously because we are not spending enough money. You have been completely ineffectual in your job, as evidenced by TPS' post, so the only remedy is to give you a raise. Spend more money and the problem will go away.
  10. Yeah, that will fly. States will say that they do not have the money to bring their state up to these standards and will demand federal money to accomplish this task. Where is that money going to come from? Increased taxes? It is a great idea to increase standards and build effective emergency reponse teams and procedures, but I do not like the idea of federal mandates to do it.
  11. You have been wasting your time. Take the rest of the year off. Hell, you need to wait until Bush leaves office before you return to work. Enjoy your vacation.
  12. From the bill summary:
  13. The bill in question: Bill
  14. In November, Sherwood and Mochrie will be at the same theater that we saw the Drew Carey Improv show. Kristy and I might see that show as well.
  15. Drew Carey has taken the concept on the road. We saw them a few weeks back when they were in town. Funny as hell to see it live and uncensored.
  16. If your main concern is political hatchet jobs, then you would also be locking up a majority of the prominent Dems as well. Hatchet jobs are not illegal. They are unethical, but not illegal. The question is, and always has been, if laws were broken. You would think a lawyer would be able to distinguish that fact. Now, your next post (if it is like all of your others) will accuse me of excusing this type of behavior (facts do not seem to be important to you, just how you can bash the righties), so I thought I would pre-empt you. I have never, nor will I ever condone that type of behavior. Let me restate so you do not miss it or misinterpret my statement. I have never, nor will I ever, condone that type of behavior. The releasing of the name could be an accident, it could be intentional, it could be a crime. At least you have the decency to see whether he has committed a crime before you toss him in jail, but you have already determined that this was intentional. Guilty until proven innocent from our resident lawyer. Nice job.
  17. Whether the law actually applies is "ticky-tack?"
  18. Pointing out that there may be another side to the story story means that they do not care about the law? Holy Hell, I am glad you are not my lawyer. So, you admit that you are just making things up to justify your partisan rants. Could it possibly be that they <gasp> disagree with your assessment of the situation? Well, I guess you are ignoring the people who have specifically stated that if he broke the law, then he should be punished accordingly. I guess that if it doesn't fit your partisan rants, it does not exist.
  19. It is also about not getting sued for the negligence of the user of the product.
  20. To some degree, but there is a difference with the tobacco suits. They claim that the tobacco companies lied to people about the risks of smoking. The gun manufacturers are not lying about the risks of using their products.
  21. He needs more cowbell. Seriously: Is someone eventually going to win LA's "Dinner is on me, smartazz" contest?
  22. I do not remember anyone on the right (or left or center) stating that illegalities should be overlooked if it means payback. Not here...not in the media...nowhere. Please point me to some examples of the right excusing illegal behavior, in this case, if it means payback.
  23. They tried their hardest to kill it with amendments. It is nice to see it finally pass.
  24. Sounds like Bill is not paying his "fair share."
