  1. Great--another frickin option for Bills relocation. At least no one would B word about Fitzy's arm strength... http://news.yahoo.com/wolf-newt-moon-colony-granted-us-statehood-video-080132241.html Surprised Buffalo Native Wolf Blitzer didn't bring up this important issue of Bills relocation to the moon..
  2. ew ew ew ew-Mr. Kotter, Mr. Kotter--Juan's slumped over in his chair...
  3. Sally Jenkins: The Last Interview with JoePa Sally Jenkins of the Washington Post spoke with JoePa the week before last....thought it was an interesting read.
  4. I would be that jerk off.... ;-) Sorry... I, I, I just get really emotional around death...I take it back.....
  5. Rob--most of me shares your anger and judgement of JoePa. A bit of me holds back the harshness--because I look at my own life and can point to things I have done for which I wish I could be forgiven. It won't happen. I also believe -- the torture of this situation killed JoePa--it took any will to live he had--so yeah he got a death penalty for his mistakes -- horrible mistakes. He knows in his heart covering this for over a decade was wrong -- sad that it took a tidal wave of public attention for him to see this. Its a great lesson that trying to protect a reputation, a program, a history by covering up and lying is never justified. We are having a debate/discussion here that will last years...I think we fall pretty much like the public in general -- at the core of this were young boys who were exploited under the worst of circumstances -- a man with ill intentions who was disguised as helper...I hope all the focus on JoePa doesn't protect the real culprit...
  6. Wasn't implying that at all. A couple of things on this KD: If you think Valvano's only "crime" was recruiting -- you are horribly wrong. Just look at the criminal records of those recruits -- he did nothing to discipline them or control them once at NC State--he ignored and in fact actively covered up addiction, rape, felony burglary -- all under his watch--so for you to pontificate on this as recruiting isn't factual. Its very similar to Sandusky in the scope of crimes against people. Chris Washburn, Charles Shackleford, etc...Valvano stood by and watched and not only didn't care but worked his network to cover it up. Yet all was forgiven when he was diagnosed and waged a public battle against cancer. Second, I never justified how JoePa dealt with this--Sandusky should have been outed, banned from the program and fully investigated in the late 90's when this came to light--There is no doubt in my mind that the allegations are why JoePa got rid of his direct coaching in the program in the late 90's -- but still it wasn't enough. He covered it up and allowed it to go on next to the program. These are unthinkable and unspeakable crimes.
  7. Some reports now saying the report of death is premature... Crazy crap when the media races to report a death...
  8. Sad but true Horsemen. Valvano was a habitual NCAA rule breaker...but now the JimmyV fund has raised $115M for cancer research and Roy Williams and Mike Krzyzewski, who hated competing against a cheater work on behalf of his legacy. JoePa turned the other way to protect a friend, a program and a legacy he built -- but it was horribly wrong and its his last act...you are only as good as your last act unfortunately. Somehow however tonight for those of us of faith in God like JoePa--I think God has added to heaven's football staff...and JoePa has been forgiven..

  10. Oh bother -- stuck with a silly Ol' President
  11. True--not as many unique personalities -- I have the feeling Chan is a really dominant personality with the offense--you never hear the guys refer to their position coach -- just Chan. On D -- Wanny will have more profile with the media than Edwards. On a side note--I hope that Steve Logan - RB coach this year for the Bucs is on Chan's radar as a WR coach. Coach Logan has a long history of NFL and College experience and is a really, really creative offensive mind. Here is his bio: http://www.buccaneers.com/team/coaches/steve-logan/bb99da19-bab3-4cf7-8a90-5442afcecb90 A really bright offensive mind who gets the most out of his players....known for his technique expertise at every offensive position.
  12. and Peyton Manning doesn't need a QB coach.....
  13. (sigh)....and you present yourself as a "Fan"? Turn in your Bills apparel...
  14. Impressive Bio...welcome Coach Lee... http://www.olemisssports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/lee_david00.html
  15. Did anyone see Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson and Kurt Warner as SB caliber (Warner now but not then)? All won it in the last 10 years--no one saw them as SB QB's when they won. Martz said Fitz was like Warner when he coached him...same mental make up and athletic ability. Aikman beat us twice but Jeff Hostetler and Mark Rypien both beat us as well... No argument that a great QB makes the path easier but Fitz has talent...
  16. Its hard for me to imagine that the pain from the Fletcher hit didn't linger for a while -- like 5 or 6 weeks. Its one of the worst injuries a thrower can have. Ribs might not have been broken -- but sometimes a deep bruise is worse...
  17. How hard was it to say to the reporter the following: "I am a 49er now. We just went 13-3 and got a first round bye in the playoffs. Let's focus on this team, not the last one." God it must be tough to be a 25 year old millionaire and be so bitter...
  18. Quiet mention of a Fitz Injury, Canadian paper chronicling Cortez's hiring Cortez the Man for the Ti-Cats
  19. Alex is looking for work. Fired with the rest of the Tampa Bay staff I believe.

  21. Sure the Bills should be interested in signing him--but no way does it relieve us using a second round or third round pick on a WR. Its just like OLB -- we need several thank you -- and we need to build massive depth at both positions. Offer him a reasonable contract laced with incentives and the chance to opt out after two years...
  22. The Bills owe them another 14 in a row or more
  23. Lousaka Polite to be exact...Pats add Polite Never thought I would see the cheating SOB do anything Polite
  24. This is a cool story--the kid has worked hard. He is our 380 LB Rudy..... I haven't been this excited since the great Jamie Nails graced the Bills roster
  25. Martin inactive - North Pole He is not loading the sleigh-- he would drop too many packages.
