  1. Well, as it turns out both my wife and I have scheduled dental work on days 1 and 2 of the draft so looks like I'm sticking home But I'll have the DVR working overtime and speed through all the garbage to get to the joy that is Bills draft picks until such time as commercials and jabber overtake them.
  2. Some things need reservations, others are open. All events require masks and distancing.
  3. There's a difference between "attending" and "being in the inner circle". The Bills gave all their inner circle tickets to first responders. But there are many events and attractions open to the public, including other ways to view the proceedings.

  5. Right so game plan and game-day coaching was a thing at all levels. Is learning from experience alone enough to fix what went wrong there? There's no coaches draft, no coach trades (almost).
  6. I love this philosophy. Playoffs are a direct test against the best. When you fail, you see where they were better than you and you try to shore that up so that next year that won't be the reason. Depending on situations (needs, availability, money) you can fix in-house, via trade, FA, or the draft. 2 years ago, we lost to Houston cause we lost our composure, and we settled for FGs instead of TDs. So the fixes were leadership and experience along with improving the weapons on offense. To me this year's loss to KC showed areas of concern on both sides of the ball. Our D couldn't stop their playmakers and our O couldn't keep up (and again we lost composure in the process). And the one thing this approach doesn't address, at least to the naked eye, is coaching. How could the coaching be improved to alter the outcome?

  15. Maybe McDermott started entering the halftime locker room more like this: IT'S FU@@ING EMBARRASSING!
  16. Up until the bye, we SUCKED in the 3rd quarter. In the 10 games before the bye, we were outscored 76-30 (including being shut out 5 times) in the 3rd quarter. The only team we outscored was the Jets, when we got 2 of our 6 field goals. In the 9 games after the bye (including playoffs), we totally reversed that suckage and outscored opponents 82-35. We were never held scoreless while we held 5 teams off the scoreboard (including Indy & Baltimore in the playoffs). I wonder what caused the change? Coaches/coordinators, making better halftime adjustments & managing things better? Players/team leaders, not losing intensity during the intermission? Maybe we won the toss & deferred to get the ball in the 3rd more often after the bye... #ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmmm
  17. Digging this thread. Heard some older stuff from Royal Blood and liked it. More recent seems a little poppier

  19. PS - my in-laws live in Ilion/Herkimer, on Route 5. Got married at Hamilton College in '89 and spent a lot of time up there in the glorious Mohawk Valley.
  20. I doubt that is true come September.
