  1. That's more than a couple people I listed lol. Eli manning is another. Drew brees. I can keep going. If you had a borderline hall of fame career, it's very rare that you fall off a cliff at 34 years of age. Mcnabb has elite stats , I'm not saying he didn't. My point was how much of that was Andy Reid as he's a QB whisperer. But back to the original point: Mahomes put Andy Reid over the top. McDermott already has a hall of fame QB and has won nothing with him.
  2. Plenty of QBs still elite at 34. Rivers, Big Ben, staffford still good, favre, manning, Rodgers Endless examples. Ok another example look at Alex smith: Andy Reid helped him get to pro bowls. Look at his career outside of the Andy Reid years
  3. Was Mcnabb really that good though or did Andy Reid get the best out of him? When Mcnabb left Philly, he was hot trash for the rest of his career. I get he was at the tail end of his career but he was 33-34 when he left. That's really not that old for a QB
  4. The issue with the Andy Reid comparison is Andy Reid didn't have Patrick Mahomes in Philly. Mahomes helped put him over the top in KC McDermott has Josh Allen and Josh Allen has excelled in the playoffs. It comes back to McDermotts defence not performing or major coaching gaffes in critical times. (13 seconds)
  5. It's also very possible that there was a lot of tension in their friendship/relationship the last year or so but also have mutual respect for each other. Just like in a breakup. When you breakup with someone, doesn't mean you're going to rip on the other person when it's done. There can be tension, but also mutual respect for each other at the same time, especially when that "relationship " is over. I definitely think there was something between them. Of course just speculating, but kind of reading between the lines
  6. For me it's simple: He's got 2 more years left. Let him play out his contract, and let him walk. Unless you're CMC, I'm personally not a fan of paying RBs a second contract
  7. Lawrence is still a good QB in my opinion. Needs to cut down on his turnovers for sure and just needs to take that next step this year
  8. Maybe it's not going to drop like crazy. But it already has kind of stabilized. Here are a few examples: 2019- Adam Humphries 4 years at 36 mil 2022- Jacobi Meyers- 3 years 33 2023- Gabe Davis- 3 years 39 With the cap sky rocketing, that's pretty much a lateral move. And Gabe/Meyers were more productive than Humphries. Compare that to I believe Julio who got 3 years 66 which was the highest in the game in 2019. Whats Jefferson gonna make, 35 per year? Top guys have exploded. Mid guys have already started to stabilize
  9. I understand that. But again, that goes for any position. WRs aren't the only position that bust in the draft lol. Every single position in every round have flops Lets put it this way: I much prefer what the bills did signing a vet in Samuel and drafting Coleman Opposed to paying Gabe all that money. Signing Samuel hedges your bet a bit
  10. Ok but we also can say that about any position. The draft is a crap shoot as we know. There have also been tons of massive success stories in the mid rounds. Higgins, Deebo, Kupp, Aj Brown, Metcalf. The list goes on and on. Can always pick a receiver in the 1st round as well if a team really values WR2, I was more just giving an example with 2nd round. To me I'm taking the risk of drafting a young guy and maybe doubling down with a cheap vet opposed to paying Gabe 12 mil per year . That just doesn't move the needle for me
  11. For sure and I agree with that. I'm def not putting WRs in the bucket of RBs as the top guys will continue to get insane contracts. I do think though at some point the middling guys will stabilize and it already kind of has. I'm just curious to see where the market will go in the next 5 years with those WRs that are 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart.
  12. Maybe. I'm not saying you're wrong. But the middling market for receivers have already kind of stabilized. We will see where it goes the next few years or so
  13. The top guys I 100 percent agree with you. For the middle guys it's 50/50 for me. Even right now- Would you rather someone like Gabe Davis at 12 mil (or whatever he's making) or draft a rookie in the 2nd round at a few million per year to hopefully be your number 2 WR for the next 4 years? I would choose option B, but those ^ are the decisions GMs will have to ask themselves going forward
  14. Agreed. Waddles contract doesn't kick in for another 2 years as well. In 2 years Hill will probably be gone. So if Waddle takes another step, 28.5 mil for WR1 will be looking good with all these crazy WR contracts .
  15. Ya I read that article from florio that he thinks WRs will turn into RBs. No way IMO as the top guys will always break bank. I think the guys who will suffer in the WR market in the next 5 years or so are the guys like Gabe Davis . The above average to middle guys
  16. Never in my post did I say he didn't meet his teammates yet, you misread it
  17. You're right but at the same time, he's got a good point as they don't get valued as much as guards/tackles. Highest paid centre this year I believe is Ragnow at 13.5 million. Compared to highest paid guard- Dickerson at 21 mil per and Sewell for tackle at 28 mil per year
  18. You would just think he would be eager to get to know his teammates a bit more and develop chemistry with Stroud. Is it a big deal? Probably not. But just not a good look IMO
  19. I hope you're right sir. Would be awesome to get 5 plus sacks from him
  20. To a certain point you got to be responsible for your own actions. Lots of ex players probably have CTE who don't act this bizarre. Aaron Hernandez had CTE- does that excuse him of killing 3 people?
  21. Fair. If you look it that way though, that's about a low end DE3 or a very high end DE4. I think he's DE5, assuming he's even active every game. I am not saying you're wrong. I just think that would be extremely good and encouraging production for a 5th round rookie rotational end who may not be active every game.
  22. I hope you're right. If bills get 5 sacks from Solomon, that would be huge production for a 5th round rookie edge
  23. Predictively I think you're right as I don't think they are gonna add another one. But I hope they do as I don't think the DE room is nearly good enough. Now admittedly I don't know who's out there in free agency now as I haven't really checked
