Problem for Mcd is he took a 7 win team to a 9 win team. Which is good, but not great. Mcvay took a 4 win team to what, a 11 win team? Probably 12 if he doesn't rest his starters. Whoever wins coach of the year generally has one of the biggest turnarounds in terms of wins and losses. And 7 to 9 wins won't be enough. And rightfully so in my opinion as Mcvay has done wonders with that turnaround

You can`t compare a future hall of fame QB who had a bad game, to a 5th round rookie who was put in when he wasn't ready... It`s completely different. If Nate Peterman had even half of Ben`s resume, he would have probably started the 2nd half that game, and would 100 percent be starting the week after

Losses to at New England and at Jacksonville, both by 1 score or less. LA was much better than their 3-6 record, and it showed finishing 9-7. 9-3 in their last 12 games, and a lot of those wins were blowouts

To answer the original question I would say 2014 team. This team is in the playoffs but let’s be honest, they’ve gotten a lot of breaks. (Not complaining as it’s about time the Bills get some luck) Defence was better in 2014 and I believe their offence was slightly better as well. I’m just taking a guess because they are ranked 29th this year so can’t be too much worse

All true. But they also didn’t play all of their weapons either and Brady always heats up in the 2nd half. Bills only got 17 points that game. Something tells me they would have needed a lot more than that to beat New England’s best in foxborough

There is a big difference between being the number 1 back and the backup though. They have the same yards per carry as you mentioned but how many more carries for McCoy vs the rest? And do you think those guys can handle 15 to 20 touches a game each? I don’t. Also, there is a big difference when teams game plan when you’re the starter. When shady is in, the the defence will game plan for him, not the backups of course . The best example I can think of was Karlos Williams. Great backup RB for that year and a half. But when shady missed time and williams was the “bell cow”, he was very ineffective.
